So my husband and I are taking the spawn to Disneyland next week. I have contacted Disney and they were VERY accomodating with places on the park that my Gluten Free self can eat, I have also prepped the hotel to let them know that I am coming. My problem is the in-between. We will be on foot for most of it, does anyone know what restaurants "GET" Celiac's in the area around Disneyland? Thanks a Bunch! A Freaking Celiac

There is a PF Changs. I ate there twice. Brought some sandwich stuff & ate at Disney. Boole the PF Changs and mapquest it. It is walking distance of where we stayed but it also had a big garage. If you are staying in a Disney hotel, you should be able to eat there.

The Denny's right across the street was awesome too. The manager took my concerns very seriously and personally oversaw the cooking of my meal and delivered herself and told me exactly how they cleaned the grill and what precautions they took. I was seriously impressed by the care she took. They have a list with the allergens in all of their food. It takes a bit to decipher it and it mostly comes down to just eating breakfast, but our experience was so positive there (unexpectedly so) that we went there twice.

The restaraunts at the Disney City Walk offer gluten free options and I found them very accomidating. Since they are on Disney property they have to comply with Disney's food regulations. Just like any other restaraunt, ensure you tell your waiter/waitress. A lot of the places I have noticed work like PF Changs used to by having a seperate menu from the regular menu, just ask the host/hostess.

I'm looking into it. I have several quite low vitamin results which I believe may be from malabsorption. B12, ferritin, folate, vit d all very low. Re-occuring mouth issues, gut issues.

Have you been diagnosed with celiac disease or are you looking into it?

Thank you. There is no reference range mentioned unfortunately.

Welcome to the forum, @Toaster! EMA is a celiac disease specific antibody test. It was one of the first antibody tests developed for celiac disease but it has fallen out of favor in recent years. It is an excellent test but expensive to administer as it requires the use of animal organ tissue (esophagus I think) in order to be run. Since then, a less expensive test known as the tTG-IGA has been developed that essentially accomplishes the same thing. Your test result of 1.24 g/L is meaningless unless you can also supply the reference range values used by the lab. Different labs use different reference ranges for negative vs. positive. There is no standard. The EMA test is discussed in this article along with other celiac disease antibody tests:
