I am looking for a safe place in or near Oak Ridge / Knoxville, TN area to eat lunch. I have Celiac Sprue and am extremely sensitive.

Thank you so much for any suggestions,

Patricia

Supposedly Roman's Pizza is really good. I haven't been, but would love to go.

There is also a dedicated gluten free bakery/cafe.

And here is a search I turned up.

Is Gluten-Free Goodies still open? I tried to find them last time I was home (I'm in school in Memphis) and never found them.

You can also do PF Changs (very informed on CC issues and incorporates the gluten-free menu with the regular one) or Pei Wei which is owned by the same company. Brixx is another good pizza option. And Tomato Head in downtown Knox is by far my favorite for gluten-free pizza, among other things! Jason's Deli has gluten-free bread and are also very careful about CC. I wouldn't bother with Olive Garden's gluten free menu as they don't cook the pasta all the way and they don't give you a lot of food. Noodles and Co has some gluten-free options, but I'd worry about CC there as there are tons of other gluten items that could possibly share the same prep methods.

No other tests. This was from about 10 years ago, I noticed it when checking through my all bloods to look for patterns.  I will go back to my doctor...

Were there any other tests besides the EMA run for celiac disease? If not, you should request them. At minimum, "total IGA" and "tTG-IGA" should be ordered. A more complete celiac panel would also include the DGP-IGA, DGP-IGG and TTG-IGG. And very importantly, you should not have been reducing gluten consumption in the weeks/months leading up to the testing blood draw.

I'm looking into it. I have several quite low vitamin results which I believe may be from malabsorption. B12, ferritin, folate, vit d all very low. Re-occuring mouth issues, gut issues.

Have you been diagnosed with celiac disease or are you looking into it?

Thank you. There is no reference range mentioned unfortunately.
