After New Diagnosis Plus Additional Food Allergies Should I See A Nutritionist?

Newly diagnosed celiac with multiple food allergies such as: all grains, pineapple, all nuts except almonds and cashews, corn, garlic, onions, pepper, cinnamon, coffee, tea, cocoa, certain fish and shellfish. I have ALOT of digestive problems obviously and a small hiatal hernia as well as heart palpitations that have decreased since removing allergies- although I've been getting new funky beats. My questions are 1. Anyone see a dietician to work out a good diet 2. Anyone have a decrease in allergies once their gut started to heal? Im hoping to not continue to be so allergic to everything. 3. Heart palpitations- how many of you suffer and how many have seen a decrease? Thanks

I am about in the same boat as you are right now. I'll be seeing a nutritionist on Sunday. I'll let you know what she says. I'm HOPING that I will be able to start eating more foods soon.

Heart palpitations? I've had them for years and years. About 20 years ago a doctor told me it was because I had a prolapsed valve. He said it was fairly common and that unless I got pain with it it was nothing to worry about. It seemed to me that after menopause they slackened considerably. I still get them once in a while, but not several times a day the way I used to.

Hepatotoxicity DOES happen with kratom. It happened to my husband. He turned yellow with jaundice and his urine became brown. This was only after taking it three times. I know because I was the one who gave it to him, unfortunately. People should realize that it can and does happen.

No other tests. This was from about 10 years ago, I noticed it when checking through my all bloods to look for patterns.  I will go back to my doctor...

Were there any other tests besides the EMA run for celiac disease? If not, you should request them. At minimum, "total IGA" and "tTG-IGA" should be ordered. A more complete celiac panel would also include the DGP-IGA, DGP-IGG and TTG-IGG. And very importantly, you should not have been reducing gluten consumption in the weeks/months leading up to the testing blood draw.

I'm looking into it. I have several quite low vitamin results which I believe may be from malabsorption. B12, ferritin, folate, vit d all very low. Re-occuring mouth issues, gut issues.

Have you been diagnosed with celiac disease or are you looking into it?
