gluten-free Makeup Remover Wipes

Hi. I was wondering if any of you know which makeup remover towelettes are safe to use (gluten-free and chemical free). I have been using Pond's towelettes as well as the cheaper version (Equate facial cleansing towelettes). I don't see any obvious gluten ingredients in them, but it looks like a lot of harsh chemicals. Are they ok to use? If not, are there any suggestions on an alternate brand that is reasonably priced? Shopping for all gluten free, chemical free products really gets expensive and since I am a college student I am on a pretty tight budget. :( Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! My goal is to use all safe and non-irritating products and get rid of any product that could be preventing my healing process. Thanks!

Some time ago I bought some of the Equate facial cleansing towelettes and don't see any ingredients that would concern me as far as gluten is concerned. Only problem is that I don't like them very much. I agree that it does look like they contain a whole bunch of chemicals but then don't most make-up removers, shampoos, conditioners, etc.

I am pretty sure the Yes To line is gluten free (Yes to Carrots, Yes to Cucumbers). There Web site says most of their products are gluten-free except a few conditioners, and they are available at Walmart and Target pretty cheaply. Plus, they are mostly natural ingredients, so it doesn't feel too chemically. Another great brand is Kiss My Face, but the don't have wipes. Their cleansers and moisturizers are amazing though :)

      Question on if i can contact my gastro doctor whenever?

      I have had celiac disease since i was 7 and i've recently had worsening symptoms, I live in canada and the doctors right now are horrible so my general doctor never puts in my referrals or she does it wrong and i have to wait months-years for an answer. I was wondering I already have a Gastroenterologist, could i just contact him and ask to book an upcoming appointment? i'm not sure if it's different in canada or not.

      Welcome to the forum @Juliana82! Bleeding where? Thanks for the articles on seronegative celiac disease. As I recall, one of our moderators is seronegative and has been faithful to draw our attention to this phenomenon at different times. The heterozygous factor seronegative celiac disease is an important factoid I believe.

      With such a weak positive, his got may or may not be cleared in three months. My daughter when diagnosed at the age of seven had a TTG score of 388. It was 18 months on a gluten-free diet before her levels returned to normal. it seems to me that when you started something that allows your son to gain weight, as he clearly needs to do, you may want to keep doing it.  Sometimes you just need to figure out the science of it as you go along. Have you been tested?  That’s how I found out I had celiac disease, was after my daughter was diagnosed, and the recommendation given to me was that all of her first-degree relations should be tested as well. I came back with a weak positive when I was on a largely, though not entirely, gluten-free diet (cooking for my newly diagnosed child). good luck with everything.
