Safe Lip Glosses?

I'm going through all my lipsticks to find out if there's anything I can still use. I received this reply from Revlon regarding their lip products: "Unfortunately, because of the way cosmetic ingredients are made and transported, we cannot guarantee that a product is gluten-free."

Does anyone know which lip products are safe? I live in an area where I don't have access to Whole Foods or any store that might carry specialty items.

"Unfortunately, because of the way cosmetic ingredients are made and transported, we cannot guarantee that a product is gluten-free."

This sort of statement is very common among mainstream manufacturers. It is a legal disclaimer--the tip-off is the word "guarantee."

Here is what it means to me:

"We don't intentionally put any gluten in the products, but we don't test the ingredients or the finished product, so inadvertent contamination somewhere along the supply chain can happen without being detected by us."

Same here. I don't trust anything found in mainstream stores after trying each one that is reportedly gluten-free. Now, I just buy all of my cosmetics online. Googling "gluten-free cosmetics" does wonders.

I use Burt's Bees and Kiss My Face lip glosses...both were gluten free the last time I bought them.

Also, Desert Essence Organics lip glosses are gluten free.

I like the Neutrogena Naturals lip balm.

I also am a total fan of Red Apple Lipstick -- google the name and their site will come up. They have lipsticks, lip glosses and one type of balm plus they've introduced lip pencils. Their products are gluten free, paraben free, vegan, etc.

I've never had a problem with them in terms of any sort of cross contamination. Their customer service is amazing and they seem really committed to the community of consumers who want gluten-free products.

The hardest part for me is this terrible rash it’s now flaring up since I’m done with steroids. 5 weeks of the rash I’m ready to pull my hair out. Has anyone had this problem this long? I also was so use to just getting up going in kitchen to grab a snack now I’m like what am I gonna eat and I’m frustrated  just haven’t found a way to deal with this yet I’m still in shock

I only had the one endoscopy.  My GI wasn’t worried that I still had blunted villi. My antibody levels are now normal. I never had specific symptoms, although I generally feel better now, less fatigue.  I think not having  excess lymphocytes any more would be an improvement. Since you still have symptoms I hope your doctors will still look for a cause.

Thanks so much for replying.  I truly appreciate it. I was diagnosed in December of 2020 after having an endoscopy with biopcies. The biopcies showed the same thing.  Mild blunting of the villi and it was also showing lymphocytes.  This time is still showing mild blunting and no lymphocytes.  No sure If that would be an improvement. The thing I improved on gluten-free diet but I am still experiencing symptoms.  I have read that some adults might never fully recover their villi. I was truly hoping that would not be me. My antibodies are now within normal range. Just wondering if you have had any other endoscopy after the 4 year mark and how are you feeling now. Just looking for hope. Thanks

Just checking that you are taking 1000 mcg b 12. The reason I ask is because I take 100 which I thought was a lot at over 4000% of rda even though the body allegedly throws off what is not needed.
