Align Vs Culturelle

Hi everyone!

I have been taking Culturelle probiotics ever since I was diagnosed. I recently came across a $10 off coupon for Align probiotics, and having to eat gluten free I'll take any coupon I can get : )

I was just wondering if anyone has taken both brands, and if they differ at all? I don't have any problems with Culturelle, and I don't want to waste my money on Align if they aren't any good. But I have heard good things about them and I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts.

Thanks <3

Hi,

I took Culturelle and switched to Align, I really like Align and love that I can find the bigger box at Sams. I didn't have any issues with the culturelle except heartburn, which I don't have on the Align.

I think it has to be a personal choice. For me Culturelle did nothing for me good or bad...align was about the same for me....So find one for yourself that works for your body....And switch off to another brand that helps. We are not supposed to saty on one probiotic forever they need switched up...

I use Pearls & Dr.Ohirra's & in between use up the ones I bought that didn't do much so not to waste them...

I've used a variety of brands. I have to watch for dairy free soy free though. Read the ingredients and if you aren't intolerant to anything take them. Switch them up once in a while?

Have you tried Kombucca tea? The probiotic is very concentrated in it and it's a nice supplement to take occasionally. It's kind of like a tart cider. If you find that you like it you can brew your own.

Hi  There’s been no mention of her adrenal glands as far as I know

Have they checked her Adrenal glands.

Just an update on my daughter. She is still in hospital and getting quite depressed about everything. She had a CT scan of head and chest to rule out stroke in view of her symptoms. Thankfully there is no evidence of that so they now want to do an MRI to rule out MS so this is freaking her out and it’s not doing me much good either!!!They’re also going to do further blood tests to check vitamin levels. My husband and I are trying to reassure her the best we can that hopefully it’s just her body’s reaction to having the Vitamin B medication and it’s affecting her nervous system etc. Think the tingling has subsided but still having some lower back and pelvic pain and some leg pain. Thanks for reading and my apologies if I sound paranoid.

Your concerns are reasonable about the celiac risk aspect, and getting additional medical input is a good idea. Obviously I don't know the extent of your child's misalignment, but please don't think of it as just a cosmetic issue. Braces improve bite alignment and typically provide long term health benefits.

I watched my spouse go through shingles before the vaccine was available for "younger" people, so I got the vaccine as soon as I could. It really knocked me down too, especially the second dose. Even with that, if necessary I would take that vaccine every year to avoid getting shingles. Luckily it's a lifetime benefit though.
