He actually tries a back-flip, but, unfortunately, turkeys are anatomically unable to back-flip.

Perhaps I could be a knight?

Yeah, he seems about right! I'm going on a week of three hours a night,

don't you get too tired to wake up anymore at some point? What the crap....

PTSD sucks.

Bun, I am gonna be honest with you here. In order to heal, sleep is vital. Vital. I went through an extended period of awful insomnia in the last year to where even Ambien didn't work. I was desperate to sleep, and the only thing that helped was Ativan. Unfortunately, it is also extremely addictive. They say "causes dependency" but I say addicted since it took me 7 months to get off of the small dose I took for probably 6 months.

What did help me is Zoloft. I didn't want to take it, but was out of options and had a professional by then whom I trusted. Took a leap of faith, and within weeks I was sleeping normally and my appetite and interest were back. I take a very small dose--but it made a ton of difference. It doesn't take away your feelings, but gives you (me) the means to have the energy to cope, if that makes any sense.

Try the OTC stuff I suggested on FB, as it was helpful to a couple people I know but if it doesn't cut it I wanted to let you know all this and did not want to do so on FB. ;)

Thanks Patee. I have gone through a couple cycles of not-sleep and it has resolved itself inside of two weeks,

so I'm pretty thankful for that. So far I've just been riding it out when it does happen, if I find myself inside an

extended insomniac sleep cycle I will definitely consider those options.

Jeesh--now back to sillie

We posted at the same time! That's great that yours resolves on it's own--hopefully an OTC or similar "home remedy" will offer a bit of relaxation.

Gotta get your sleep! B)

One more final today and to turn in the results of an experiment i participated in. Then i'm coming back and sleeping. Kinda worried about this one. No clue what'll be on it....

I've tried that counting sheep thing, but they start coming faster and faster and I get all tense trying to keep up. To keep them at a reasonable speed I have to institute military-like strictness, and who can fall asleep whilst keeping sheep in strict formation?

Ahhhh--a nice new fast 'puter! Have phun wif it B) And congrats on cleaning out the garage--we kinda dumped stuff in ours when we moved in, and are now in the process of going through everything, selling the old kitchen appliances, and phiguring out what to do with the rest.

Do you have a salad spinner?? I neeeeeed a salad spinner

:P

I wasn't FOR A MOMENT thinking of anyone roasting our yeti! ... . ....Just other, ya know... . ..wild yetis. . . . .. . . . .. . . .....

We have been LOOKING for the wild yetis at the country house!! Out on the quads. Max is DETERMINED he will find one! There's a way to look at broken tree limbs and determine the difference between Yetis and elk...

Sigh... psillies all have lives... lonely Friday night *sniff....

;)

Mine was a boring Friday night. But it was most welcome since the 24 hours leading up to it weren't so boring

Ok. This is serious! I sat on the couch for a minute to check my FB and the accidental Kitty sat on my lap. That was 20 minutes ago? My wine glass is about 8 feet away on the counter! help! M is upstairs doing homework and hub is in the basement tying flys!

Text... Send email... I know I'm a few days late but this is what I do to Madeleine :P

...Actually, I kinda want bacon now...

They say it's the vegetarian's gateway drug back into meat. My fav bar in town has bacon night on Wednesdays. At 9:30 you will find a bowl on every table and for every 2 people seated at the bar. Then this very large, jolly man comes at you with a giant stainless steel bowl FILLED with bacon! He fills your bowl, tells you what kind of 'flavor' he's made and then every 15-20 min comes back with ANOTHER bowl of a different flavor! Captain's fav was the 'peanut butter cup'...

If it makes you feel any better, I haven't been sleeping either.

The cake and bacon help with that....:D

I am new here, I have been diagnosed with Microscopic Colitis (Lymphatic) years ago and have been gluten-free, DF since, but I still can have occasional bouts of diarrhea (still trying to figure that out).  I also have MS, Hypothyroid, Arthritis, Reynaud's and my rosacea has been acting up lately.  What treatment is suggested to help with rosacea?  I would like to know too if there is a test for celiac if you have been gluten-free?   Thank you, Barb

Gluten free/ non dairy , low calorie pudding ideas please?
    • K6315
Well, that's interesting. I am lactose intolerant and have been managing that for years. I'd be interested in seeing if that changes once I feel better from not eating gluten (one thing at a time for now, though). Helpful to hear about the avenin. I will do some digging and pose that to the dietitian. Grateful for your feedback.

Recently my daughter ate in nandos harlow I rang in advance to speak about the celiac protocals and learned that childs portion chicken nandinos is cooked on the same grill as garlic bread even if they are celiac! Even if you clean it this is not good practise and will be making many children ill. I learnt adults butterfly chicken cooked on a grill purely for chicken.  This is fine and what we ordered however nandos need to take note of your practises for the safety of celiac children. my daughter has been ill from their nandinos chicken before and i emailed head office and they wouldnt accept responsibility

I agree with @RMJ, you have multiple positive tests so celiac disease is likely.  This article might be helpful. It breaks down each type of test, and what a positive results means in terms of the probability that you might have celiac disease.
