Yes but what was one originally tying on? And on to what? Whatever it was can't be as bad as the pictures in my head right now. I don't think we do that over here...:/

I... dispise latex allergies :angry:

On another note, I hope i haven't been CC'd. :blink: Several hours since possible cc and only mild cramping that has stopped? I'm not overly sensative by the way.

Just an update, the red "hive" lines (still an outline of the latex bandaid) are still there, but its slowly going away.

Shadow, glad things are improving. When I has mine done it was on my face and I had to leave it on 5 days without peeking. Even without a latex allergy I wanted to scratch my face of by then. Then I had to cover it another week. Arrggh. Much sympathy :)

Shrooomie, thanks for sharing this great, inspiring article. I've forwarded it on to Jack, who is fascinated with NZ and wants to live there when he's grown. .. ..he spoke incessantly about your devastating quake, followed all the updates.....he will enjoy this article. In four or five years you can watch out for a tall, gangly guy sporting a big traveller's backpack wandering about your city, taking in all the sights.....that'll be him. :)

Thanks for the neat article Shroomie. It sounds like CC is getting pretty creative with the rebound effort. Art projects and shipping container malls. Really sounds kind of fun. So now we know wher you hang ot on Friday nights, the Smash Palace?

Luckily, the incision sites are fine (and look good for that matter), i just have these lovely red rings where the bandaids were around them. I have no choice but to leave it to the air. My doctor said it was fine to remove the bandaid after two days :blink:

Thanks for the update Shroomie. I was just thinking about NZ and wondering how folks there wuz doing.

Re-peep is still peeping. She's so tiny, and it's so cold that she spends a lot of time yelling at her mom to SIT DOWN ALREADY.

I took a little extra time this morning to make sure she had food and drink and she didn't scarf down like crazy, so I'm assume she's getting enough during the day.

I guess we'll just wait and see. Temps should warm up a little in the next couple days. Maybe that'll help.

      Welcome to the forum, @Amyinwyoming! Answers to your question that you might receive may not be helpful to you as an individual since sensitivity levels vary significantly within the gluten sensitive/gluten intolerant/celiac community. The other complicating factor is that low levels of gluten in a product may not cause obvious symptoms but may still generate low level inflammation in the small bowel. When in doubt, it is best to pass on the product. I'm not a particularly sensitive celiac so I might allow myself to eat something at a guest's house that was made from a food product with the kind of disclaimer label you describe but I typically shy away from buying them or consuming them when I have a choice.

      Started having ataxia symptoms (tremor, twitching, leg weakness, slurred speech) approx 1 year ago. I have had extensive neurological testing and negative. However, I had celiac blood and gene testing that were both markedly positive. Have been gluten free for almost 1 year but still having episodes or flairs. Has anyone else experienced this?  I have been pretty strict about my diet and am also dairy free.  How long before it took you to feel like symptoms mostly resolved?    I would like to add I’ve also been pregnant for most of this time, so I’m seeing a lot of my symptoms return postpartum. Now that I’m also having regular bowel movements in comparison to the constipation from pregnancy, I am noticing evidence of malabsorption in my stool. I also lost weight postpartum quickly. I have an upcoming appointment with a G.I. to hopefully get an endoscopy done. I’m on several supplements and have no known deficiencies on bloodwork. Has anyone found that increasing fiber or starting a digestive enzyme supplement helped?    I am hoping there is still some chance for my body to heal since it has been 11 months on the diet.

      Many people with celiac disease, especially those who are in the 0-2 year range of their recovery, have additional food intolerance issues which could be temporary. To figure this out you may need to keep a food diary and do an elimination diet over a few months. Some common food intolerance issues are dairy/casein, eggs, corn, oats, and soy. The good news is that after your gut heals (for most people who are 100% gluten-free this will take several months to two years) you may be able to slowly add some these items back into your diet after the damaged villi heal. This article may be helpful:
