  1. Some wines do contain gluten. Many balsamic vinegars do contain gluten. Caramel colour, which is often used in cheap balsamic vinegars, is made from wheat. But even balsamic vinegars which do not list caramel colour often contain gluten. If you have a Nima tester, you can test for gluten in vinegar (see https://help.nimasensor.com/hc/en-us/articles/11500...
  2. Balsamic vinegar can contain gluten in the same way wine can.
