I have had restaurants express concern / care when I ask about the gluten-free options... with the exception of one particular Subway. I know there are some sub shops that have and are glad to have gluten-free breads as options, but at this particular Subway, I was told in no uncertain terms that I could just have a salad and was then quickly ignored for... -

"The cost to NHS of a loaf of gluten-free bread is much higher than those bought in a supermarket." And so the "patients" are to foot the bill now??? Not sure how that is taking care of the patient. -
People (even family sometimes) have the hardest time grasping the concept of "Gluten Free." I'm 10years into my diagnosis (Celiac) too and hate to have to travel... and hope where I can eat is clean... And I'm not talking about cleaning, clean I mean clean of all gluten.
