    Thanks Dave.

Do you always have Saturday off? Consider this a reminder. I WANT PUPPY PICTURE UPDATE!!!! :P Please. :D

I'll go do it now, but Buddy has a bad infection that he's taking medicine for. He doesn't look pretty right now so I'll just give you a picture of Pumpkin!

And I usually have Friday or Saturday off. This week I have today off and work Saturday.

OK....I'm off to find out how toxic I am today.

Edit: large group of women and a couple men.

Everytime you say how toxic you are....Britney Spears pops in my head singing Toxic. Anyone else have this occur?

Had bad car week too- scraped a BMW pulling out of a parking spot=$800. Then yesterday, driving home from NH my car died on the side of a dark and scary country road. Timing belt=$500 and there's no guarantee that will fix it. It may need $2000 worth of work (car is worth $1500 and I just paid $500 for a new convertible top). It's a 95 VW cabrio which I LOVE so much, but the worst part about it is it was my mom's present to me before she died. I'm gonna be so bummed if it's gone!

Ouch! That sucks. Sorry to hear that :(

My nutritionist appointment went well. She says "so it says you were referred by Rachel?", I say "yes", she says "do you have a last name?", I say "no, she's a friend on the Internet, but she said I could tell you she is the one with the baseball cap and is really messed up", she says "Okay, I know exactly who that is". LOL! (pssst, then she clarified by saying that it was the baseball cap that did it, lol).

  4. Susan,

Sorry for the excutiating pains a few nights ago... Hope you are all better now :D

    Rinne,

You'll just have to invite all the Rachelvillians to the party next time, I'm sure we can all be good crashers... ;)

    Laura,

Hope all goes well at you appt.

    Donna,

That is a lot of action this week, let us know how the nutrion thing goes today!

    Everyone else,

Hi! Hope everyone is ok....had to read 10 pages cuz I hadn't been here in like 2 days  Sorry if I'm missing anyone.

    Dave,

Somehow I don't picture you as shy. Of course you have been using this forum dropping lots of hints.

At work and what not I'm not shy at all, quite the opposite actually. But when it comes to meeting women and expressing feelings in the beginning of a relationship, I am like the shyest guy ever...sucks. Oh well....

DAVE! you were in Fresno and didn't call? well poop on you! :P Could have sized you up myself for all the gals here. ;) Next time, bring Rachel. :) I'll cook a delicious gluten-free meal for you two, with donuts for desert. :o

gluten + nut bars + bean stew + stupididity = heinosity of the tummy.

oh yes, that is my precious Annie dog in photo. She was trying to slip me the tongue, AGAIN.

Next time we'll arrange something so you can properly "size me up":lol:

I'm pretty sure she see's it now ;)

Would it make sense that this is detox?

I think it could fit the puzzle. Detox'ing from anything can be very hard on your body. Depending on what you are detox'ing, it can pull certain toxins that were "hibernating" right through the middle of everything; hence, making you a little sick from it. Detox can make you much worse than you were before, but is usually worth it when you're done. I hope you feel better!

This Dr. is in Seattle Washington but comes to our area every 3 months...next visit will be in Dec.....she said I can book an appt. to see this Dr. if I want. The Dr. is all about Lyme Disease. I will have to ask Dave about the name cuz its bugging me that I cant remember. :(

Rach, Amy Derksen....but I don't think she is an MD.

#1, thanks. #2, Something to think about staying away from the Flu Shot, supposedly their is a bunch of Mercury in the shot itself, if you might be sensitive/reacting to Mercury already, I imagine it wouldn't be the best thing to happen.

Thanks for the update Dave. We appreciate it.

If you were still in charge of her store I'd ask you to let her off on Friday, not that she wants off, I just think she needs off after this week's cleaning at the store.

I wish I was still over there, I wouldn't let her continue working with all the chemicals and so early knowing it puts such a strain on her. I would give her Friday off too ;)

She's a tough cookie though, she'll be fine and then she'll sleep the whole weekend away and be back to normal (well as much so as possible, afterall, she's still Rachel :P )

Is that all for California even. They charge $80-90 up here!

Now that's a good idea.

Some shops charge up to $90 per hour but that is for really good places. Don't get me wrong, some places charge that much and aren't that great. I use a shop that charges 90 per hour, but they specifically deal with Vipers and Mustangs, and do work on some race cars. That's why I don't mind spending 90 per hour, but if it was just for my regular car or whatever, I wouldn't pay that much. My place that charges 90 per hour quoted me like $400 for all 4 shocks/struts. Donna said hers is just one, but even two should only take like 15 minutes longer than one. Donna, PM me before you pay someone a GOOGILLION DOLLARS!!!!

You know how some days EVERYTHING (like putting your underwear on the right way as opposed to backwards!) FEELS LIKE SUCH a BIG DEAL.

      dlp252 said:
Wow, sounds like an exciting, productive appointment Rachel!!! I'm excited about this testing!!! So, now do you go back to that lady for the "treatments" or does she tell your lyme guy what you need?

From what the lady said yesterday she wants to handle the intolerances and what not, and let the other Doctors handle the Lyme and Candida I believe.

I will let Rachel tell all of her scientificness, but just wanted to add that it was a good informational (aka overwhelming) appt. Some of the most important questions were answered with positive answers, which is obviously awesome!

For now the lady wants to help Rach's body detox a bit so that Rach will be able to start taking certain supplements and eating certain foods that her body is now rejecting, but that are necessary to help fight the Lyme and Candida. For now Rach is supposed to be taking (you better do it cuz I don't want to have to kick you @ss!!) these drops to help detox. She is supposed to put them on her wrists in the AM and PM and let them slowly absorb into the skin/blood. I'll let Rach tell the rest....

    Hope everyone is doing well!

Thanks Dave!!!! I hadn't thought about that, but that's a great idea! I'm sure it wouldn't be long before the other one went too. The parts for Saturday's service were only $380-ish...the labor was $909!!!!!

Donna, they are ripping you off. Check another place.... MAX you should pay is like $60-75 an hour for labor, and your strut job for BOTH should only take like 2-3 hours MAX. Total labor should be like $200-250. PM me if you need anymore info...

My body has a hard time warming up when its cold so after a pint of ice cream I sometimes need to take a hot bath. Its my favorite thing at night...ice cream, hot bath, warm jammies and comfy bed. It all starts with the ice cream. :D

At least a pint a day....

How about eating it while you're in the tub? That way you never get THAT cold....?? B)

warm jammies huh? like what..... long johns? :P

    -Dave

  11.   Rachel--24 said:
Do you guys think I should be worried about my joints and stuff like that with this kind of work? I'm gonna ask the Dr. exactly what Lyme does to the joints...is it bad to be giving my body a workout or not.

Rach, considering you said you feel worse when you first wake up and better @ work (when you're doing all this activity), I would say you don't need to worry about it. To quote youre doctor.... "you have to listen to what your body is telling you" (which you somehow misconstrued to "you can eat all the ice cream you want")..... hehe. You never remember what to ask the doctor.... i know i know, lyme = short term memory loss, so maybe you should keep a log/journal of all these questions throughout the month.

      Rachel--24 said:
Ummm...yeah....Lyme has definately "stupified" me....and not just in the initial attack.

I believe I may be permantly stupified  ....I'm confused and yes, vagueness...it takes over me everyday.

I dunno how much of it is just me but I tend to blame every stupifying moment on the stupid Lyme bug.

hmm, I don't even think I have to say anything here.... you all know what I'm thinking....

    Donna,

That does suck about your car, sorry to hear! $400 is the price of a really nice set of shocks/struts for most cars. Obviously most the money you will spend is on labor of getting everything off to get to the struts, so while it's off you might want to replace both of them at the same time. Might be a tiny bit more but it will save $$ in the long run. ;)

  12.   Rachel--24 said:
I can barely remember my OWN appt....I always have to call and tell them I forgot. Even when they give me a little reminder card....I forget where I put it.

I have already forgotten when my next Dr. appt. is but I bet Dave remembers....his brain seems to function a little better than mine....only a teeny bit better though. B)

Stupid Lyme Disease. At least I have an excuse for my lack of brain cells now. :)

    :lol::lol:

Yes only slightly better..... more excuses....:lol:

Just a trophy??? Trophy's are an excellent prize! I've gotten the tiniest trophies....some for 3rd place even but they still meant the world to me and I displayed them proudly in my room. :D

I've never gotten cash for anything...just little trophies, ribbons, t-shirts...stuff like that. I have alot of softball t-shirts cuz thats what they pass out to the winning team.

I'm kind of embarrassed to ask this but what exactly is drag racing? What are you racing in and where....on a track??

Rachel still has all the trophies in her room....like she's 10.... :D

And drag racing.... there are different kinds. There is the kind where you can bring your daily driver car, and run heads up (fastest car wins), or bracket.

Bracket is if my car runs 13.7 seconds in the 1/4 mile, and another guy runs 14 seconds, he leaves .3 seconds before me. Theoretically we should pass the finish line at the same time. Bottom line, whoever gets closest to their dialed in time wins. If I dial in at 13.7 and hit 13.8, i bust...and lose. If I hit 13.68 and he hits 13.9, I win, he's .1 off and I'm only .02 off our "dial in" times.

Hope that all makes sense. There are also people who run "tubbed" out cars or really "suped up" street cars that might not be street legal (engine modifications/slicks/exhaust, etc)

On top of that there are like full blown John Force alcohol dragsters that can get upwards of 300mph within 4 seconds..... :o

 I don't exactly know what drag racing is either, I am thinking the smaller cars, go-cart thingys, and you drive really fast??

Drag racing is a straight line really fast! B)

      swittenauer said:

Here is a link to where we race. Open Original Shared Link

It is a place where you can race dragsters - those long pointy cars or you can race a regular race car. Unlike Bill, I race trophy & so does his dad. Some people race souped up cars but I race my Mustang Convertible that I also drive to work. It is an 1/8 mile track & it is bracket racing so the slower cars leave before the faster cars & therefore theoretically you should arrive at the same time.

It is not scary at all. I don't go fast enough in my car to have to wear a helmet. I just buckle in & go. Bill, on the other hand, has to wear this fireproof jacket & helmet & has roll bars & such like a regular race car you in Nascar races. It is really a alot of fun.

It seems like the time of day here in KY that I get on here everyone else must be asleep or something.

What times do you run in the 1/8 and what year is your 'stang? I'm on my 3rd, 03 GT Vert, triple black.

I must have learned young....my Mom says I was always belching when I was younger and apparantly she didnt like it very much.

Of course I have no memory of this. ;)

 I can't imagine you burping..... but it would "fit in" to the whole "yogurt/milk stain" thing you have going on ;) Attractive...... alien baby and all

My husband was quite shocked when we got married. He didn't know that girls belched or passed gas. Then he married an undiagnosed gluten-intolerant!!!! I used to be able to outbelch anyone, but didn't, too embarrassed ... but hubby would always vouch for me that I could do better than whoever was challenging me. Now, I couldn't belch if I tried ... no wheat, no gas.

 Good thing you didn't actually do it in public/contest! Haha, my tiny ex-girlfriend used to always pass gas right when we got in the checkout lane at the grocery store..... Everyone would look at me like I did it....just cuz I'm kind of a bigger guy  ...... so to get her back, I would speak loudly and say "Michelle, geez, that one was really bad, what did you eat?" She turned RED everytime.....hehe
