  1. I hope it didn't mess up your schedule too much. :( I always hated having to rearrange everything.

Glad to hear that everything is going well and that you got a new job! That's great that you got a house. Should be much easier for you as far as cc issues. We will continue to await your muffin investigation. :D

I ended up finding an extra schedule in my orientation bag the next day....so everything worked out :) It wouldn't have messed me up in much, but I just wanted to have one for my own state of mind

    I'm still feeling yucky ... :(

We're going to see the Commodores tonight. The concert's not till nine, so I'm going to have to rest all day so I can make it!!

Did you get some new "date" jeans to wear there? You didn't tell me yesterday that you were going to see the Commodores <_<

Good girl Morgan! The social scene has a way of sucking you in, it's great that you have your priorities set. If you balance the two you will do fine. I had a hard time myself doing that

    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Yea, classes sure got in the way of college, didn't they?!

    :lol::lol: I start Monday :huh:

    HI MORGAN!!!!!

    Hi :)

  2. Congratulations Dave!!! But you still need to behave B)

I just finished unpacking :D ....I'm settled. I just need to go get my books tomorrow and then I'm officially ready for anything. I went out last night with various people (not getting into trouble of course), but I decided that tonight I need to get my internet working, get my class list, and finish unpacking. I succeeded in everything except getting my class list....I was THREE minutes too late!!!!!

  3. Oh, Carla, what a bummer about the ice cream! I hope you got rid of all the gluten, but how maddening!

Morgan, congratulations on your first day & finding the food (very important!)-- sorry about the cheese, but I bet if you go back to no dairy it won't really be square one, especially if there wasn't much of it.

    It's still a pain though

Look at your post and you will understand, there are multiple repeats.

I wanted to say in my last post, I'm so glad your first few days have gone well for you :)

The board is acting funny for me, don't know if it is just my computer or for everyone?

That's odd...it makes sense though bc I didn't think I typed that much.

Ahem, excuse me??? The girls and I carried everything in except for the one load you brought in!!! YOU only unpacked it!!!!

I carried 2 loads in and i didn't even try to make it sound like you weren't helping, I was just saying yes and that I unpacked

So Morgan is a Hoosier? Fabulous

Hi Andrea!!! Good to hear it's not just my computer :D

    :DB):DB)

Yep, both her dad and I graduated from there, too.

It's taking a long time for a message to post ... board must just be busy, plus we were all adding our replies at the same time!

Well everyonce in a while my computer wont let me on the internt, so if I stop, then that means that I got sick of restarting the computer and that I'm calling someone about it tomorrow <_<

  4. Morgan

I think it is your replies x 3 (or double, not sure?)

    :blink::blink::blink:

I need to put your picture in the other chair, then it will be almost like you're home, except that I had to cook my own dinner tonight ... Dad took care of the kids for me.

I didn't tell you, but we went to Bloomingfood's for dinner ... I bought a rice dream ice cream bar, read the ingredients three times, then took a bite ... I saw a cookie in it! It was the most poorly labeled ingredients list I ever saw! It said Ingredients, then had a list, then under that it said cookie ingredients, then chocolate ingredients! It didn't even mention that the first list was the "ice cream" ingredients! It looked like the full list! Anyway, I spit it out, then went to the bathroom and rinsed my mouth out really well. I don't know if I was glutened since I'm still recovering from the previous one. The first ingredient on the chocolate was barley! YIKES! I started crying. :( Not obvious to everyone ... but Dad knew.

*tear* I'm soooo sorry that happened :(

  5. Holy Cow!!!!!!! It's no wonder it took so long to post that comment!!!!! Is that a record for the longest post ever????

    Hi MO!!!

So, how did the dairy make you feel? I mean, you were off it for 6 days, so you may have felt a difference from it.

    I haven't felt a difference. I don't know if it matters, but I didn't have much

  6. Why would you do that! hehe, good luck!

bc I felt guilty about all the sugar I had eaten the past few days

    Hello everybody--

Congratulations, Jessica! You have one of the most important jobs in the world.

    How's the sugarless life, Morgan?

    Adorable picture, Andrea!

    Have you started school, Molly?

    Leah

Well I did pretty good for one day Now I should try two days

Is there such a thing as brain fog for no reason?

Last night I got the kids their dinner and had mine in the oven, with the oven off, so it would keep warm. Since we ran errands yesterday, Seth didn't get his full afternoon nap because he fell asleep about 20 minutes from home. Fed him his dinner and then fed him again an hour later to get him to bed (an hour ealier than normal). Got all the kids in bed and came back out to the computer. About 9:30 I started thinking "I'm hungry" so I grabbed a Lara bar. Mitch got home around 10 or so. About 10:30 I told him I was hungry and didn't know why since I had had dinner about 4 hours before.

I went to bed around 12 and was laying there doing my mental check....oven/stove off......did I even eat dinner. I don't remember getting the spaghetti out of the oven. I got out of bed and went to the oven and there was my plate of spaghetti. NO WONDER I WAS SO HUNGRY! I grabbed a snack and will have the spaghetti (crunchy as it may be) in a little bit. I still haven't eaten today.

Just thought I'd rely an amusing story. Now you all know why I appreciate that my wonderful hubby makes sure I get food on the weekend.

:lol::lol: We used to do that before we moved....but with our aga, the food was still eatable....unless it was in there for more than one day or was in one of the hotter ovens

Awww.....you must be missing her already.

She was only going off sugar for one day??

For some reason I thought it was gonna be longer than that.

Are you kidding!!!! I can't handle more than one day of this...I have to ease myself into it :)

No, she just wanted to do it for one day. I think she just felt bad for all the sugar she ate in North Carolina and the meringues she devoured when we got back. She always feels better when she eats healthy, so I sense this is just the beginning of getting back to less junk food.

We JUST got back from dropping her off ... I'll miss her in about five minutes! I'm so used to her going over there for work a few days per week, it will take some time for me to really realize she's over there for more than a couple days! It's tough having them grow up! Especially when they're so sweet.

I'm working on getting back to eating healthy. It's getting close. I can't just jump into it, I work on it little by little. I made a huge mistake today though  Remember how I was getting off dairy to see if I was allergic to it. I was going to get off of it for two weeks and test gluten a couple weeks later and dairy a couple weeks after that. Well, it's only been about 6 days and I completely forgot about the dairy part. I had cheese with my dinner. Now I have to start all over <_<:(

Well, I see Morgan must be really busy ... she didn't even post here!!! :D On the one hand it's exciting to see the fruit of the years you spent raising a child, and see them moving on to their more independent life. On the other, it's sad to see them grow up. And, am I really this OLD????

She's about three hours away. When we moved, I decided to keep going to the same salon that I've gone to for years, the one where Morgan works, and is near IU ... so I'll see her every four to six weeks!! If she weren't going to school there, I would have found someone here to do my hair!!

Morgan, did you find out how to get your food? (When I left her, she didn't know how to get her already paid for food ... neither did her rooommate!).

    I found my food :P

You guys are sending kids off to college.... and here I am, celebrating my son's FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!!

My little guy will be 'officially' 1 at 10:48!!

My boss took her daughter to college yesterday. She'll be back on Monday, she took today and tomorrow off to grieve.

With my daughter, I'm actually starting with "preschool" basics. If she progresses on to K stuff (which I feel she will...she's brilliant... ) - we'll see how she does. More than likely, she'll start school IN kindergarten next year. She'll help us make that decision the closer we get to the end of the school year.

    Happy 1st Birthday!!!!

I love those brownies, too. I make them with coconut oil! Yum! Someone on another thread mentioned using marshmallow fluff for frosting!!! I can't wait to try them ... wish Morgan were here, she loves to bake!

Yeah, Morgan, where are you?? Don't leave us hanging, wondering about your first day away at school.

I remember when I went away, exciting and scary all at the same time. I hope you are getting all settled in and having fun

Enjoy them, they will get the job done, so chocolate-y...

Look what we started, now I am craving the dang brownies!

Well I didn't get to get on here yesterday bc....I just got moved in. And then I got my internet registration for campus thingy this morning before I went to work. I ran some errands, ate with some random friendly people and then got on here. Oh and last night, I wandered around with some of the people on my floor. I like it, I'm still getting settled, but yes I miss my family :(

Oh!!!!! and my rommate's Dad has Celiac, so she'll completely understand if I request something "weird" with the fridge or something :D

Now where did my other quotes go??? Oh well, i know there were more but I have things to do. Don't worry I'm not leaving Rachelville :D

Why would you do that! hehe, good luck!

  7. Susan, you have to really look at the Ostrich. That sucker will cheer anyone up. When I get kinda down, I come on here, look for my ostrich and then just smile. He has the most goofy loving look and that is why I wanted him from Floridian. So, remember to look for the ostrich and let him take your cares away.

Thursday morning I leave for the airport and my trip to Las Vegas. Lynne and I have our planes land about 15 minutes apart. That is so cool. We are going to have a great time. We both have been trying to get plenty of rest this past week, so that we can really enjoy ourselves.

i agree, everytime i see your ostrich, it brings a smile to my face :D

Yep. Since you're the oldest, you need to find yourself a man. Get married. Have babies. :D I won't turn yours into rotten brats ... I'm saving that for your brother's kids!

    :lol::lol::lol::lol:

    Good

  8. Cissie --EIGHTEEN GRANDCHILDREN!!! You are so blessed!! I hope you spoil them rotten, and then send them home to kids with little ditties to say like, "But, Grandma lets me!" :D I have this all planned out for my "angel son's" offspring, lol. Grandmother's revenge :D

My Mom still has a few years to build up her grandmother's revenge, but man......she already can't wait to have grandchildren

  9. Julie, you're right this place has been deserted. I guess it turned out for the best today though... I was able to get most of my packing done, my old dresser emptied and all the clothes washed :) Now that's quite an accomplishment and I never would have been able to do that if this place was busy

  10. Hi all.

I did read everything so this isn't really a drive-by....

BTW I always love everyone's new pictures even when I don't single them out. Susan, your daughter did a good job.

    Morgan,

Hang in there....it will be worth it. I need to curtail my sugar eating again too (enjoy life chocolate chips)

I done good so far today....let's hope I can hold it B)

Just doing a drive by also.. playing catch up today with all the insurance agencies that want to put us in collection b/c the insurance companies are wacko. It costs way too much to have a sick member of your family. The costs are unreal.

penguin.. glad you survived the gluten challenge. I dont think I could ever do it.

Take care all.. will catch up maybe later tonite!

I'm sorry I hope things get better soon.

    Welcome Sandy :D

  11. Andrea, can we add Sugar Police to Vincent's job description?

PS, Vincent the sugar mafia doesn't tease you because it hates you ... you only tease those you love!! :)

I used to be a sugar addict, much like my daughter ... once I got off it when I did a candida cleansing diet for six months, I've never craved it again. I eat it ocassionally, but I feel like I'm in control, I don't "have to eat it now" like I used to. In fact, I'll often choose to eat something else when others are eating something sweet ... except last night, I had to help polish off those meringues so Morgan wouldn't eat them today on her sugar-free day!! Yea, it was to help Morgan! :P I pretty much rotate sugar like I rotate other things that bother me but aren't an intolerance -- like beans, peanut butter, fruit juice, etc.

    Mmmmhmmm, to help me <_<

  12. So I found where the burping conversation came from....I was trying to catch up in Rachelville when I got confused about some of the carried over burps. Someone told me it came from another thread....so it's this thread...

If this isn't the original thread...I still laughed about all the burping contest conversation.

Ohhh yes... and we all sit in the back of a classroom tooo :lol:

Ohhh no... you are one of us now...

hehe...sometimes I sat in the front, but most of the time I was in the middle....I didn't pay attention in class :P......ok, I guess I did, but I goofed around a lot

  13. We do have a blast. Morgan is no good at all with hair tips ... hers just looks that way. Trust me, I've tried to get her to teach me, but she does nothing to it!!

You've never once had me do your hair, you'll just ask me how your's looks and then tell me how terrible mine looks

    Hi Morgan :)

Drive by before I go back to bed: HIIII!!!

Back to gluten-free and onto WW tomorrow! YAY!!!

Congats on going back to the gluten free :)

  14. Would love to, you guys have a blast in the "B" household

Morgan could give me hair tips too :)

Uhoh, we better watch out though...you know how some people feel about the hair talk

No way...I wouldnt wish my "Racheling" habit on anyone.....sheeeesh...what kind of Rachelvillian do you think I am?? :P

    You're a kind Rachelvillian who's Racheling I admire :D
