Hi everyone, bit of an odd question from me today. I'm almost 5 months gluten free and really starting to feel some benefits health wise. More energy, less stomach pain, less anxiety, less diarrhoea etc, and I am no longer anemic whereas my ferritin levels have increased. However, my question is - has anyone ever glutened themselves once, on purpose...

Frustration and worry
rt-116 replied to joeycass123's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Hi there Sorry you're feeling so lost at the moment. I have been exactly where you are. I also had ALL of the symptoms you had. I myself thought it was anxiety and so did my friends and family whenever I voiced my concerns. I also thought maybe ibs, or my imagination. However, I finally went to the doctors after a few months of this and it was... -
Hi everyone. Might be a bit of weird ask... but I was wondering if anyone could tell me about any negative experiences / difficulties they had / problems that persisted during the initial few months /year of going gluten free. I've seen a variety of experiences and many positive, but i've been gluten free for two months now (not very long I know!) and...

Hi everybody I've posted a couple of times previously on here and found the advice from you lovely people really useful and supportive. I'm sorry for any repetition in my post today - currently at work feeling completely overwhelmed and tearful all over again at current symptoms and feelings and thought I'd try and seek a bit more advice. Brief...

I'm sorry you are struggling so much with all those horrible symptoms. And for so long too. I can relate, I thought I was going crazy - most of the symptoms I discussed with friends and family COULD have been attributed to anxiety, it's what they all told me, so I ended up trying to convince myself the same. During an appointment with a very very kind doctor...

Hi everyone I was diagnosed with coeliac disease 2 weeks ago. I have been eating gluten free and trying my best to avoid cross contamination. I would be really grateful to hear from anyone who had any kind of twitches pre and post going gluten free, as mine have still not resolved. I am aware of other scary diseases that can cause twitching but...

Just wondering what vitamins people were advised to take after diagnosis? I am anemic so think I need to improve my iron, presuming low on b12 and D but am yet to have full vitamin checks. Obviously will have these checked soon. Of course will vary for all, but just curious about the advice given to others prior to seeing my GP again. If you do...

Thanks for replying. Could I ask what you do to relieve any of the pain or help the leaking? Sorry I know it's an embarrassing topic - hence my lack of info on this!!

Cooking with ovens and cross contamination?

Thanks for your thoughts! -
Thank you for sharing back! Interesting to hear of others with the eyelid twitches. I'm not sure if I have a B12 or D deficiency yet but this is something I am going to try and find out as I reckon it's related to that. Good luck with your results - I hope things get sorted for you soon so you can begin feeling better all-round!

I got diagnosed with coeliac disease yesterday, so I'm still researching and learning a lot about it all. Including cross contamination! I wondered, what are people's thoughts on cooking in ovens? For example cooking gluten-free breaded chicken on the shelf above non gluten-free breaded chicken. Is that safe? Thanks for any tips!

Love the positivity of this post, thank you! I am also extremely prone to getting anxious and getting lost on the internet looking at more concerning reasons for symptoms. However, was diagnosed officially yesterday after biopsy results came back, so feeling optimistic about managing this going forward. Thanks again and good luck to you!

Hello everybody. I frequently used this forum prior to being diagnosed and appreciated every bit of advice and similar experiences I could find. So I've created an account to give back and tell my story, in the hope that if someone out there stumbles across my post one day, maybe it can offer reassurance as did so many others on here for me. I am a ...
