  1. Hi Madmichie! Thanks for posting. Definitely request the testing. I am not a medical professional. Celiac disease can have a wide variety of symptoms. I feel like it is a disease that is not well known, even in the medical community. If the doctor seems dismissive or reluctant, I would ask for a referral or seek out a second opinion. I didn't have...
  2. Hi Gerry! Is your doctor a gastroenterologist or a general practitioner? Even very good doctors don't know everything. They are still human. 😊 Feel free to seek out a second opinion or ask for a referral. I am not a medical professional. Glad you are getting it checked out. I would definitely second the suggestion about making sure you get the fu...

I myself have had about 95% of your diagnoses and symptoms. So, it would definitely be something I suggest you talk to your doctor about. I think that it is very common to...
  7. Hi Dawn! First of all, I want to say, "You can do it!" I was diagnosed with celiac disease (celiac disease) last February. It is a rough transition. You are taking the right steps and asking the right questions. My doctor also said that I should avoid oats for at least a year due to the potential for cross pollination in the fields and cross...
