  1. Hey all, What are the biggest reasons for not healing? I am 110% sure of my diet/cross contamination, eat very clean foods, workout, and I have all the same symptoms as I did two years ago. I've put so much effort in for little change. My latest GI says she has no idea what wrong with me - and is not even 100% sure that I have celiac now. I had...
  2. BuddhaBar - I stay away from gasey ones and I actually eat a lower fiber diet that what I should most days. Scott Adams - I stay away from anything even potentially harmful - including oats, dairy etc...
  3. Hey all, So I have been diagnosed with celiac and 110% gluten free for almost two years. I still have pretty much all the same symptoms - mainly bloating and lower left abdominal pain. There are no questions in my diet in regards to cross contamination. My follow up endoscopy a year later showed the villi all returned and my gut looks "healthy...
  4. For the most part of 4 years I took it for mild acne. More recently I was put on a high dose of omeprazole for two years until they figured out it was celiac.
  5. Hello, I am just over a year gluten free. I had a biopsy that showed I was almost healed completely. I am very strict and know it is not gluten anymore, yet most of my symptoms remain. Has anyone recovered from small intentional fungal overgrowth (SIFO)/ Candida overgrowth? My nutritionist is almost positive that I have it and my gastro. says...
  6. Hey, I get lower back pain too but I've always had that. No oats, going to wait to try those. Stopped PPI a few months back, no medications besides some supplements. I take a multivitamin with iron but I've been taking that for a year so I don't think that is making a big difference. The brain fog is the worst.... I space out so much at work. Last...
  7. Hello all, So I've been 110% gluten free for a full year (some mistakes first two months) and not much has changed for me. I just has another endoscopy which confirmed that I am basically fully healed... but I still have the same symptoms as a year ago. These are mostly bloating, fatigue, and brain fog. I also have really crackly joints and excessive...

  9. I am a 26 year old male. Just about one year ago I was diagnosed with celiac disease via endoscopy after two years of unexplained symptoms. I was also diagnosed with Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EOE) the same day. I immediately started a gluten free diet. I made a few mistakes in the beginning, after stopping gluten I got crazy pain that would take me out for...
  10. Did you just ask your physician for these tests? I feel confident that it is SIFO based off the diets I've tried. FODMAP did not work, low carb. definitely helps, and I cannot go near any sort of fructose. Rifaxamin (SIBO treatment) did not even make a dent. I actually started that diet last week. I thought it would be hard but I I've been eating very...
  11. So two things. 1. I had this pain for 2 years and went through 4 different doctors who all said GERD and nothing else they can do. So I do trust this doctor since she was he only one to diagnose me after all that time. 2. I took the blood test multiple times (ate gluten months befroe etc...) and they were always negative. It was a positive biopsy...
  12. So after three years of unexplained pain I was diagnosed with celiac disease and was so excited to feel better. That was 10 months ago, and I still feel pretty much the same. I've had some slight improvements overall. I was also diagnosed with SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) with a positive hydrogen breath (zero on methane part) test two years...
  13. Had a call with my gastro. because the office closed. I have other things going on too and she assured me I was not at a higher risk. I've been gluten-free for a few months. From what I can tell if you're on a strict gluten-free diet then you're okay.
  14. Hello, So I am 25 yo male, 4 months gluten free. I was wondering if anyone had crazy injuries for years and recovered after going gluten free for a while? I was a cross country runner in college so I expect part of it to happen eventually be that but I did not think it would be this bad so soon. I can't run or lift very much without issue, but I am...
  15. Thanks, I know a lot of it is time. But its been so long! A lot of what I read on here has actually given me some hope for the first time in a while.
  16. @doronI see this was 2017.... did your injuries get better? I am in the exact same boat. Left achilles tendinitis that won't go away, right hamstring injury that prevents me from any sort of leg day, bad lower back, and some shoulder issues. I am four months gluten free right now but still have some dietary issues (was diagnosed for two years so some other...
  17. @cyclinglady @docaz I agree it was weird and honestly I am still not 100% sure what to believe. I saw this doc for a long time before this conclusion was reached, I was told this was the first time anyone did a biopsy relevant to celiac. Two weeks into gluten free my appetite went up significantly and I have slightly more energy. I did bread/pasta free diets...
  18. I am posting the following to see if anyone has a similar story. I am hoping that maybe someone does and is further along in treatment than I am and can give advice. I am a 25 year old male. I have been struggling stomach issues for years now. After 5 gastrologists told me it was GERD and definitely not food related I finally tested positive for celiac...
  19. Recently diagnosed celiac here... it took me 2.5 years to get diagnosed. I took all the blood tests on four occasions, all negative. 2.5 years later on my fourth endoscopy they finally took a biopsy to test and it came back positive. I don't know how rare it is for this to happen but it worth knowing that it can. I also have SIBO and have no idea what to...
