  1. Eh, I'll go share about autism, sometimes people will listen to me rather than being a cruel shaming jerk.
  2. I always say, 'take what you like, and leave the rest', I only know my own experience and obviously this is'nt any safe place for me. Sorry to have all upset you.
  3. I just follow the instruction of my Mayo Clinic Endocrinologist - this guy here. Alireza Falahati, MD, Endocrinolgy. https://www.utendocrinology.com/provider/alireza-falahati-md-face I trust his opinion far more than yours because my life depends on it, if you want to fight out with him, give him a call. https://www.utendocrinology.com/provider...
  4. Don't think that is the science. We can agree to disagree. Everyone should do their own research. ; ) Blurb copied from Google: The names or these groups are derived from the number of cotyledons or seed leaves that the embryonic seedling has within its seed. A monocot, which an abbreviation for monocotyledon, will have only one cotyledon and a...
  5. It can take a long time to improve you guts with Celiace. Months to years. I've been gluten free for 15 years now. I've never really freaked out to much on pans, and cross-contamination because, yes, it drives you crazy. You'll always be getting some gluten somewhere. Remember rice and oats do contain gluten as well. I'd suggest sticking to monocot rather...
  6. A lot of periodontal disease is directly related to gut microflora. Targeting on that and balancing out the good bugs from the bad bugs can make a significant impact. Your body may also be physically worn down, so exercise, and if you're terribly stressed try some psych meds. When there's too much of one gut bug over the other, it can cause Herpes 1 outbreaks...
  7. I've had terrible GI issues - recently had an endoscopy (I have a good GI doc). Did the FODMAP elimination diet and found I have a reactions to lots of stuff - milk is out for me now. So no grain, only monocots no dicots, no sugar, and no milk. My daughter calls it the 'sucks to be you diet'. I'm like what the hell am I gonna eat?!?? : ( As hard as it...
  8. I'm so sorry your daughter is having such problems. My daughter went through a period of having tics, I was afraid she had Tourettes - but it did pass! So give it awhile, hopefully it will go away. I'd avoid any psychiatric medication for children and try diet modification and perhaps nutritional supplementation. Food is medicine. Don't let any doctor put...
  9. FODMAP has been really helpful for my autism, celiacs and GI issues. I have a no grain, no sugar, and now no dairy diet. My daughter calls it the 'sucks to be you diet'. I was hoping this study might have focused on Gut microflora. That's really where all of it is. A little critters in you intestines and colon. Interesting stuff. Great books to...
  10. So sorry to hear about your son's issues. I'm here myself searching for solutions for acid reflux. I was diagnosed with celiacs by a endocrinologist. Been gluten free (all dicot grains) and sugar free for 14 years now. Diet has been monosaccharide, Disaccharides, monocot grains and protein. All dicot grains have some gluten... if your eating a lot of rice...
  11. Sorry to hear you're still having issues, especially after 1.5 years on the diet. Your disease sounds similar to what I experienced, however my diagnosis of Celiac disease was made by an endocrinologist... not a G.I. doc, his suggestions to me for treatment and the explanation of the disease were quite different. Celiacs is a "whole body disease", doctors...
  12. Hi Shayla, I've been diagnosed with Celiacs and on a grain-free/sugar-free diet now for nearly 14 years. I suffer with horrific joint pain. I always explain it to my doctor as feeling like I'm a Barbie doll that some mean kid has ripped all the arms and legs off and put them on backwards. Ughh, it is awful! Really the only treatment even a rheumatologist...
  13. I've been dealing with awful muscle pain and joint pain for years, part of Celiacs. Someone suggesting taking Bromelian supplements for that and seems to work! I was taking Ibuprofen daily and I've been able to ween off that taking the Bromelian. Something to be aware of though, I had a terrible pain that ran the full length of my upper thigh, lasted weeks...
