  1. It is true that some Celiacs will react topically to gluten. It is most often because they have DH (dermatitus herpetiformis) (my spelling might be off). DH which some also call Celiac Sprue is a skin reaction to ingesting, and even “touching” gluten. I have this and must avoid gluten in my skin products. I do not have a wheat allergy.
