Has anyone with celiac that is well controlled on gluten-free diet have autoimmune hepatitis? I have been gluten-free for 11yrs and just this year tested positive for ANA and anti-smooth muscle antinbody. They want me to do a liver biopsy, but I have normal liver enzymes. I have recently tested positive for ANA and anti-smooth muscle antibody. Have been gluten-free for 11 years. Now I am getting worked up for autoimmune hepatitis even though I have completely normal liver enzymes but I have an "elongated liver". I wish I had answers for you but it seems like more questions for me!!
