  1. oh also, try drinking bone broth, you can buy it a brand called Kettle and Fire, or better still- make some, there are loads of recipes online to help you. Its so soothing for your gut and is nutrient dense and has collagen to help healing. Also, you keep saying that you don't have symptoms when youv'e eaten gluten but your food intolerances get worse...
  2. hi Chris, Just wanted to say, I used to feel like you do now too, I would actually feel like gluten would make me feel better but it would only be temporary until i felt sick and awful again, so i would the eat more. This, i've been told since, has to do with our adrenal glands giving us a bit of adrenalin when we have eaten something poisonous...
  3. Hi Chris, When i was still eating gluten and other grains (rice, oats etc) I would react very badly to any of the brassica family of vegetables- eg cauliflower and broccoli. Since being totally gluten and grain free i can now eat these things without issue, they are hard to digest if your gut is at all damaged (by gluten). The thing is, you may...
  4. Hi! I wondered, I have been "glutened" a couple of times in the last almost 3 years. I find that i'm beginning to actually feel afraid of crumbs in other peoples houses, if I go to see my father he lives on bread and peanut butter and makes a lot of cakes, also my boyfriend tries hard to keep things separate at home but I can't help but feel like...
  5. the derivatives thing has been becoming clearer to me recently! I learnt that almost all vitamin C or ascorbic acid, in products is derived from Corn, a lot of the time GMO corn- I avoid corn as I react to it. I have to be careful of supplements too as a lot of "citrates" are corn derived and also the capsules contain derivatives of many things. Im glad you...
  6. I went on a traditional gluten free diet first, no wheat at all but still ate gluten free products occasionally though i never really trusted them- i di that for a few years and still always felt ill. It wasn't until i studied a course in the UK, where i learnt all about grains, the history of them, what happens when we eat them, exactly what they are etc...
  7. Oh also, i'm using Rahua shampoo and conditioner- I read up about true gluten free shampoos- I avoid grain in products as well. Its really lovely, if expensive but I'm wiling to pay the price to be safe!
  8. Hi! I had a pretty sever reaction to a shampoo i bought recently. I noticed lots of old symptoms come back, i couldn't work out why I felt so ill as I hadn't eaten out or anything processed, iI don't eat any grains either so it was confusing. Then I saw it on my new shampoo....Wheat Germ. I didn't use it again after that and it took me maybe a week for all...
