  1. Typically during any of the visits to the Dr. they have asked if I drink alcohol, ect; I have always stated, I don't drink anymore; then they move on and are not concerned. I do have Spring Valley brand B1 supplement 250mg; I already took one; I will see if the I can get the magnesium at the local store; how much of that should I take? Thanks
  2. Thanks for all the info; I passed all of this on to the Endocrinologist (PA) that I have been seeing; her response; "we typically see thiamine deficiencies in more severe cases, like with alcohol abuse"; what's your thoughts, should I request my levels checked after off all vitamins for 6-8 weeks? I also just switched to Tirosint which has no...
  3. My Iron levels were checked and returned within range; I take a multi vitamin Gummy; many of my vitiman levels were checked by Endocrine due to my Hypothyroid; which for the most part are rather normal; they did find my DHEA hormone to be slightly low.
  4. Hi everyone, been awhile since I posted here; diagnosed over a year ago with celiac disease; I was asymptomatic and went to PCP for dry mouth and feeling of swelling in the tongue; later find out after testing I had celiac disease. Was told the answer to feeling better was gluten-free diet; I have done this, maybe not 100% perfect, meaning I know some...
  5. Labs were drawn today checking Vitamin D, Iron ect; family doctor also ordered some labs to detect inflammation; can anyone recommend a quality multi Vitamin for those with Celiac; my best hope is that nothing further is found and maybe I won’t lose all my hair; thanks
  6. Ok, does that include cheese as well?
  7. Agreed; thanks for taking time to write; I can definitely minimize symptoms if I put myself in a good place; my environment allows little of that with tension at home and work; I have learned to take time for myself away from everything just to find some peace, as you know stress and it’s symptoms often occur after the events. Thanks again
  8. Thanks for your reply; before the Celiac diagnosis I have visited the doctor for difficulty breathing where I nearly passed out, to later find after numerous cardiac tests it was a panic attack; Over the past 5-7 years I would say I have has constant, chronic stress; family stress, marriage stress, job stress, health and more; we’ve relocated twice during t...
  9. I am to the point of getting more frustrated and even concerned that Dr.'s may not really know what is going on with me? As I have posted, I was diagnosed to my surprise with Celiac several months ago; I was more or less asymptomatic besides seeing my PCP for a dry and scalloped tongue. My PCP did various lab tests and after those results and a EGD...
  10. Thank you for taking the time to pass on all the info; I will surely be re I Ewing the various sites and info you shared; the more I learn the more I can dial in what is goin on; thanks again!
  11. Thanks for the info; O have watched Dr. Gundry about leaky gut and would like to dial in more on how to repair this; I know uncontrolled stress has been a big part of my life for the past few years; hopefully getting this all under control will eventually do the trick. Thanks
  12. Ok; thanks, so no cheese even though indicates gluten-free or Eggs; also,is the itchy scalp a typical symptom.
  13. I do eat oats in some gluten-free granola bars and cereal; my dairy is mainly cheese and eggs; I use Soy Milk; I did get some gluten-free body wash/ Shampoo, but was sometimes using head and shoulders to help with the dry scalp. I think I was under the impression that I wasn’t that “sensitive” to Gluten because before my diagnosis I was asymptomatic; the ...
  14. Hello; many have answered my questions since diagnosed with Celiac, things were ok for a bit, my original complaint prior to knowing I had celiac was to my PCP due to dry mouth and scalloped tongue. Several months into what "I think" is a Gluten Free Diet; I still experience the dry mouth and now itchy dry skin, especially a dry scalp. With so many...
  15. Any good suggestions for gluten-free Men's soaps, body wash shampoo ect? Was hoping to find something simple at Walmart? Thank you
  16. Ok thanks I have viewed some “low acid” coffee on Amazon
  17. Since being diagnosed with Celiac and already having acid reflux; I stopped drinking coffee; is their a good coffee out there that is reasonably priced gluten-free and low acid; thanks
  18. Thanks for response; for any practicing Catholics here; can you take communion with Celiac; I did so this morning and then thought “what did I just do”, the reading I’ve done said the Church has to use bread that contains some wheat, but they do have reduced wheat wafers.
  19. Maybe I am just impatient to feel better and pinpoint my symptoms; I feel it's very easy to just blame everything that doesn't feel right on Celiac; I know it is a serious issue but am I being too impatient is wanting my symptoms to improve? My main culprit is swelling inside the cheeks; mainly on one side; I do have a little numbness in my upper lip...
  20. I have NOT been avoiding dairy, basically just eating stuff that has gluten-free label; for example, popcorn states gluten-free on bottle as well as bread my wife bought at Whole Foods; is all of this ok as long as it states gluten-free? What shocks me is I had no idea this was all going in in my body; I did see doctors for various symptoms sometimes looked...
  21. Thank you for the information, I will be looking into it.
  22. What is the best route to go in determining; 1. If I do in fact have continue to have sleep apnea and what type I have? I used to wake up occasionally gasping for air, but wife says I no longer do that? 2. Can my thiamine levels be checked with lab work?
