  1. Hi everyone, I know I've posted here before, about similar subjects, but I'm currently pretty scared about how I am and I don't know who to turn to for help. Since last year I've lost about ~20 KG of weight, and I'm fast approaching a point where I can't lose any more. But I have yet to be able to eat more than one meal a day, and I'm scared what's going...
  2. Thanks for the response! I've always had the opposite problem, I've been chubby for all my life until recently. I lost ~1/4th of my body weight due to celiac and the symptoms it gave me, haha. I have not tried to eat fruits yet, but I can certainly try. My problem with them is that they are still kind of a lot of food for me. My breakfast is currently...
  3. Hello, thank you so much for your reply. I've been told before on this forum that thiamine deficiency is a likely culprit, and I have also been told today to ask my doctor when I next see her, to ask about checking my vitamin/mineral levels and taking a multivitamin since I do not have the most varied diet as of speaking. Also, for the crisp read and rice...
  4. HI. Yes, I'm aware my diet isn't great, haha... I am currently working with something similar to a dietician. We're going to speak again in a couple of months. Part of the problem is that my diet started out as a few crackers and nuts a day. I am not exaggerating when I say I only ate a couple of handfuls of this, because it was all I could stomach....
  5. I'm unsure how to translate all of my meds, as I am not in the US. But I take gaviscon (liquid) for reflux, once a day. Seroquel for sleep (once a day as well). And I currently have a medication called Afipran, for nausea. I take at most 1.5 pills of that a day. My diet is currently a little messy I'd say, ahah. Currently though: white rice, ground chicken...
  6. Hello again, everyone. I'm trying to be patient with celiac, as I was only diagnosed Nov. Last year, and been gluten free since mid-December. However, it feels like I'm playing a game of whack-a-mole. Every time one issue dies down, another comes up. Since I last posted I've gotten a slight increase in appetite, which is great, as it seems to continue...
  7. Hello, thank you so much for the reply! I really appreciate it. I may be getting glutened still, but I'm not sure what from if that is the case. I've put away all of my old cookware (frying pans, toaster, cooking pot, cutting board) and cleaned my kitchen and fridge. I thankfully live alone and haven't had any guests since pre-cleaning, so no contamination...
  8. Hello raspberry, and thank you so much for the reply! Oh my goodness! First of all, I want to thank you for addressing the nausea when speaking. I've been trying to find information on it for months now, and all I've found has been anxiety related (nausea when speaking in front of a crowd and such) and I'm so glad I'm not alone!! Even though it sucks...
  9. Hello again, and thank you very much for the response. I've read through the articles you sent me on AIP and the Low Histamine diet, and I will take them into consideration. I'm still waiting to hear back about seeing a nutritionist, so I don't know how much I want to do without hearing from them. I'm going to see how things go, but I will be keeping...
  10. Hello again, everyone. I hope it's okay that I ask for some more advice. I am trying to be patient, as I've only been gluten-free since december 16th, but I can't deny I am nervous about a few things. I took some blood tests as per my doctors request, and I just got the results back for them today. I do not know everything that was tested for, but I...
  11. This helps a lot, thank you! I'm supposed to have a chat with my doctor this coming tuesday, and then I'll be sent off to take blood tests after that. As far as I can tell, the blood tests are to check for deficiencies, but I'm not 100% sure? I already know I have iron deficiency anemia, so the fact that I may have more deficiencies wouldn't surprise...
  12. Yes, I'll try some hard boiled eggs for sure. I'm currently in the process of getting rid of my old frying pans and my boiling pot now, since I can't trust them not to gluten me... I may be looking into taking a trip to IKEA in the near future as well to get new cutlery as well.
  13. Hey, thank you very much for the reply, I appreciate it. I was only made aware of the issues with gluten free oatmeal today, so I'm planning on replacing it with rather plain rice for breakfast from now on. I'm definitely gonna have a look at my medications too, the only one I know for sure is gluten free at the moment is my iron supplement. I've also...
  14. Hello. I was diagnosed celiac via bloodtest in November of 2020, and just got my "official diagnosis" today, as the hospital confirmed I have celiac after going through a gastroscopy December of 2020. I started having symptoms in June 2020, but it took me a few months and a couple of visits to the doctor to figure out why I was feeling so bad. Because...
