I get one on my butt and know exactly where it is by the deep pinpoint itch. It blisters and looks raw and ugly. I have Valtrex prescription just for this which clears it up with usually one or two pills. I am strictly gluten-free having been diagnosed in 1970 but these “uglies” are in the past 10 yrs.
