  1. I had a couple of friends who after a course of antibiotics were struggling to eat much. The anti biotucs can kill off alit of your gut bacteria and it took quite some time to build these up again but after a year or so they could eat normally again.

I did the genetic test which is a simple blood test and the other thing you can do is try to find out if anyone else in your family has coeliac disease or known issues with gluten, aunts uncles, grandparents etc. Also coeliac is an autoimmune disease and these sometimes cluster, so do you have any other autoimmune diseases e.g. under or over active thyroid...
  3. I've been doing a '4 day rotation diet' for 1.5 years (except no gluten or dairy). I had 30+ food sensitvities and kept developing new ones. Apparently it takes 3 days for your body to calm down from a food reaction, if you eat a food you're slightly reacting to, then eat it again the next day, the reaction starts to become more, so over a period...
  4. Hi There, I know lots of people here also have a lot of food sensitivities. I seem to have about 30 which causes stomach churning and acidic throat. Having cut them all out using a food diary, I will be OK for a month, then a new one will develop, so it's tricky to keep on top of them. My gp, gastroenterologist and diecitician don't know why...

I don't eat wheat, barley, rye, oats etc and we don't eat out, maybe once a year however I live in a shared house so there is definitely a high risk of gluten cross contamination in the kitchen here. I'll do some reading on getting tested and speak to my gp further about it. Would 2 weeks of eating wheat be enough to show up?
