Thanks. I originally got tested because I went to the doctor after a few severe bouts of heartburn, which may or may not be a symptom of gluten issues. I think I’m in denial, but I really don’t want to have celiacs. Not that anyone does, obviously. I don’t particularly get sick when I eat gluten. IgA was 220. Standard range is to 400 Gliadin IgA 29. Standard range is to 15 Gliadin Igg .6 standard is 15 transglutaminase IgA .5 standard is 15 Transglutaminase IGG is .8 Endomysial was negative. And I had dq2 and dq8 markers.

So, my GI ordered a test for me to see if I had the genetic markers for celiacs. I have both of the markers he tested for. My endoscopy showed no damage. And all of my bloodwork was normal including the endomysial test. The only thing that was high was my Gliadin antibody test. I never really got that sick from eating gluten. Have I just been lucky? I’m interested in doing one of the gene tests through enterolab to see if I have the celiacs gene. I’d also like to check for some other food allergies like dairy. Is there a particular test or tests you would recommend?

It’s the same Gliadin IgA test that keeps coming back high. All of the other tests I mentioned are in the normal range.

Thanks for the response. I actually went to the doctor in June because I had had several severe bouts of heartburn. The doctor decided to run the blood tests because my mother was diagnosed with Celiacs. I was then off gluten until a month before my endoscopy in October based on the bloodwork from June. Then I had gluten everyday for a month before my endoscopy...

So, I recently was told by my GI that I had Celiac Disease. I had an upper endoscopy in October that showed my villi were not blunted. This was after I went back on gluten for a month or so.
