Yes, there is no way that 4 capsules could handle breaking down that much gluten.

An anecdotal update.  I am sure that Gliadenx only works for small amounts of cross contamination only.  I have taken one or two before eating "gluten free" foods at restaurants, and never had a problem.  Recently, I was at a pizza pa...

Omg really that’s just not right ,it goes to show you that they need to be more educated. I was told to stay away from Olive Garden for that reason.

We are travelling in our RV for a while, which means we go into lots of different grocery stores all over the country.  It is interesting to see the difference in the amount of gluten free options being sold.  I am finding that basically, ...

Thanks!  That artical was facinating.  It seems like the celiac immune response is a little more complex than I realized.  I am first in line when they invent a safe sourdough wheat bread for celiacs!

Of course such bread would not be allowed for those with celiac disease, however, it sounds to me like they are making sourdough bread, which removes much of the gluten.

I question your understanding of my argument.

The same amount, according to Mayo Clinic guidelines. And don't assume no damage is being done to small bowel villi just because you have no symptoms. Many celiacs are "silent celiacs". That means they do not experience classic GI distress...

I don't know of anywhere you can find a chart that gives a comprehensive list of foods and their gluten content. Two slices of bread is just a rough guideline intended to communicate to those having an antibody blood draw coming up to...

I wish the article linked above had also contained a link to the original study sited or at least the title of the research paper. It does reference the journal it was published in but not the volume or date.

Helen Vajk, thank you for the valuable travel tips; much appreciated. I knew about S. America and their preference for quinoa. I always travel with a backpack full of KIND gluten-free bars and other snacks.

One of our sponsors here is GliadinX, which is an AN-PEP based enzyme that has been showing in many studies to break down small amounts of gluten in the stomach, before it reaches the intestines. I love to eat out, but noticed that around...
