  1. Hello, I was diagnosed back in April, I have shifted my diet to mostly gluten free but over time I have began eating it again. I am ingesting way less than I was but it is still part of my diet. When I eat it nothing happens. I even had blood work done recently and all of my deficiencies have normalized. I'm not sure what to make of this but I feel...
  2. I hear you and agree with you. I’m back on track.
  3. I was diagnosed in April of this year and have been living a gluten free life for the most part. I took a 2.5 week vacation recently and just ate whatever I wanted and did not monitor my gluten intake at all. Ate tons of bread etc.. I know this is irresponsible but I felt FINE the entire trip. I realize that inside it's probably doing damage but it's hard...
  4. What medication were you taking?
  5. I’m just avoiding foods with gluten, no special diet. Gaining fat not muscle. Yes I’m eating gluten-free pasta, gluten-free bread etc. almond flour products. Lots of fruit.
  6. I’ve been on a gluten-free diet for 4-5 months and my appetite is still very strong most of the time. I’m tired of always feeling hungry and I’m gaining weight. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to lessen my appetite? Will this eventually go away?
  7. Hello, I cheated over the weekend and ate quite a bit of gluten. I felt fine the next 2 days but 3 days later I’m feeling intense brain fog and decreased mood. Is it possible to feel symptoms days after eating gluten such as I did?
  8. Thank you! May I ask what probiotics you are taking?
  9. Thank you. So I may still feel tired from celiacs for a very long time then, even though my blood levels have improved? My anemia, b12, and folic acid all improved to normal levels.
  10. Hello, I have been gluten free since 3/31/21. My levels have improved, aside from a slight iron deficiency. I still feel foggy and tired most of the time though. Is it possible that this is still from lingering damage due to gluten in my body? How long can it take for a person to feel normal.. I recognize that the way I feel could be from general...
  11. Yes I’m aware, amongst others.
  12. My yearly physical showed I had iron deficiency anemia along with b12 and folate deficiencies. Then I had an endoscopy, biopsy, and blood test to confirm the celiacs. I have also had GERD my entire life pretty much. Been on omeprazole since 18 and I’m 35.
  13. I woke up with a headache today. Typical kind I get, back of the head, dull, grows more intense, comes in waves. I’ve been gluten free for 5 days now. The only thing I may have messed up on was eating a holiday shaped Reese’s last night which could have cross contamination. Could I really be this sensitive to gluten? I was eating pizza and drinking beer bef...
  14. How did you find out you had celiacs then?
  15. Could you recommend a specific probiotic? If I am taking a multi-vitamin that has B's in it, do I still need to take a B complex? I currently take B12.
  16. This is all very useful information thank you! I spoke with a dietician already but probably will need a follow up. Is it possible for my stomach to feel upset initially after stopping gluten? I’m on day 4 and my stomach just feels off. When I was eating gluten I rarely felt this way. could it be part of the withdrawal? thanks, Brian
  17. I understand, thank you for your advice. I'm new to this, just on day 3 of gluten free and I'm worrying too much. Also not feeling too great physically and mentally. Maybe gluten withdrawl?
  18. How is it possible to live into your 80's and not experience symptoms? Can some people really have this disease their whole lives and never present symptoms from it?
  19. Okay, that makes sense. As someone who has mild symptoms, what happens if I eat gluten on vacation or at a special event or something like that? Can it be a once in a while type thing for someone with mild symptoms?
  20. I take b12 but I will add a multi vitamin as well. Is b12 enough or should I take a b complex?
  21. Thank you for this information. my doctor diagnosed me through an endoscopy, biopsy, then blood test. I got checked out due to my anemia from a yearly physical. I think I def am feeling some withdrawals.
  22. Hello, I was recently diagnosed with a mild case of celiacs. My symptoms consist of fatigue, headaches, foggy head, anemia; iron/b12/folate deficiencies. -Is this considered silent celiac? Since I don’t get very severe noticeable symptoms. -is it true that if I stop eating gluten for a while that my body will react more harshly to it when I...
  23. I was recently diagnosed with celiacs. My symptoms consist of fatigue, foggy head, and anemia with iron, b12, and folic deficiencies. Is this considered silent celiacs? if I stop eating gluten, will my body respond more negatively to it when I do eat it? If that’s the case and my symptoms are manageable, does it stand to reason that I should just keep g...
