  1. Hi, My AC unit in my apartment had to be replaced today. A small part of the wall had to be cut out (I wasn’t here for that). When I got back there was a lot of drywall dust on the floor - but it all seemed localized for the most part. Didn’t go past maybe a 6 foot radius. It was cleaned after I left again. I was fine after being in the apa...
  2. Hi so I’m taking this medication for pneumonia. I was way too exhausted and didn’t want to be on the road any longer than possible so I didn’t research much on the medication while picking it up. Hoping my stomach stuff is just the pneumonia. My question is sodium starch glycolate type A potato is gluten free right? I haven’t been able to find a ...
  3. Edit - barber just confirmed with me that the spray bottle has only ever had water in it. So I must be overthinking?
  4. My barber knows not to use any products when cutting my hair/beard. Today he sprayed water directly onto my beard while cutting it. Some definitely got in my mouth. I’m worried that there may have been some sort of hair product in that spray bottle before he put just water in there. What are the chances I was glutened by that? I hope I’m just overthinking. Th...
  5. Thank you. I haven’t eaten out in around 2 weeks and I only have 2 places I eat at right now. Both have never failed me. 1 comes out multiple times and lets me know they cooked on separate grill, etc. This happened 2 days ago, so I think it’s gotta be the dog food?
  6. Quick question, I’ve been to my girlfriend’s house many times and stayed a while. I’ve watched her scoop the gluten containing dog food and dump it into the bowl. I’m dog sitting for her now and think I may have gotten glutened by opening the bin, scooping the dry gluten containing dog food out and into the bowl. However, I haven’t gotten sick when...
  7. Hello, I ate tacos on “corn tortillas” at the same exact restaurant on sat night and Sunday. I tend to get delayed reactions. Also, I was drinking both days so on Sunday I thought that I may just be hungover. The celiac symptoms hit me full force on Wednesday. It typically takes me 5-6 days from one glutening to recover. Let’s say I was glutened on Sa...
  8. Is it possible to have a reaction from airborne gluten just from being in McDonald’s for like 5 minutes? I was at the cashier and the kitchen is right behind them, they were understaffed so it took a minute for someone to approach me. All I did was grab a drink for someone then left. Was in there probably 5 minutes max. I don’t think McDonalds wou...
  9. Thank you. You can’t see it in that picture but one of the ingredients is fragrance (parfum)…..who knows what’s in that.
  10. Hello, Has anyone ever used this product? https://www.ebay.com/itm/404077398659 All of the ingredients look ok besides the fragrance (parfum) I believe? But who knows what’s in that? I plan on reaching out. My barber accidentally sprayed some today. I let him just spray the entire top of my hair with it. Was fine, was fine while he sprayed i...
  11. I bought some trimmed green beans from Kroger. Haven’t had a problem with them in the past as far as I know and I know green beans are gluten free. I know that you’re supposed to trim the stem off. I ate one of the stems on accident. Is there anyway that the stem could be not gluten-free? Or am I overthinking it and green beans are gluten fre...
  12. I only eat at very specific places that haven’t ever made me sick (Five Guys Burgers and Fries surprisingly hasn’t ever made me sick - had burger Patties and regular fries DoorDashed). But just today, my cousin was drinking beer - I let him have a sip of my drink (to make sure it was Tito’s vodka because it tasted off)…..I planned on getting a fresh drink a...
  13. Also, just now was told that they do NOT clean that outdoor table whatsoever. So who knows what’s all on that table, but it’s probably dried. Would the pill sitting on the table for a few minutes be enough to cause a full blown celiac reaction?
  14. Thank you - the pill should’ve been ok. I wasn’t sober when I grabbed it off of the table, but that bar table isn’t clean I wouldn’t think. Pizza, beer, etc. It was probably cleaned that morning but the outdoor area there is seat yourself - I’ve seen people eat pizza, drink beer, etc. at that table many times before.
  15. Hi everyone, Was at a bar on Sunday (9/24)…..had been drinking (nothing gluten containing, I’m very careful with this). Anyways, someone offers me generic adderall (teva). But it’s on the table of the bar (people order pizza here all the time and obviously beer, etc.). I look the pill up to ensure it should be gluten-free and all. Anyways, I proceed to in...
  16. I’m fine with eggs, alcohol, etc. I’m not sure, I just thought it may be the sheets since these smell extra strong.
  17. Thank you! But I’ve slept on polyester sheets without washing them first many times and nothing. Could you send me the study that you got this from? Also, this feels like a full on glutening - headache, brain fog, bloating, etc…..not sure it’s the chemicals.
  18. It could be a delayed reaction to something else. But my washer/dryer (studio apartments here get in all-in-one washer/dryer which sucks and doesn’t dry well at all) so I just bought all new bedding. I did not want to wash the sheets and sleep on wet sheets. The brand new bedding that I bought (which is 100% polyester) has some sort of strong s...
  19. I believe I’ve reacted to airborne gluten before (got sick after delivering from DoorDash) but that was hot, freshly cooked gluten food lol. Surely sheets sitting in a store for days wouldn’t somehow cause me to react to the smell even if they were doused in gluten? I’m not sure.
  20. Haha you’re fine. Also, my washer/dryer (studio apartments here get in all-in-one washer/dryer which sucks and doesn’t dry well at all) so I just bought all new bedding. I did not want to wash the sheets and sleep on wet sheets. The brand new bedding that I bought (which is 100% polyester) has some sort of strong smell (not sure that it’s gluten). No wa...
  21. Thank you! That definitely makes me feel better. I hope I was glutened by something else. If that’s the case, I’ll be on the up and up sooner rather than later. Unless of course, your contractors were smoking American spirit (gluten-free cigarettes) lol. But you’re probably right, it must be something else. Thanks for your feedback!
  22. Thank you. I’m very careful with what I drink and I don’t get glutened from that, unless I blacked out and had a shot of something gluten containing. I have read that some cigarettes aren’t gluten free and celiacs on here are getting glutened from smoking them? I’ve also read about celiacs on here having a reaction to secondhand smoke? So I am a littl...
  23. I ended up getting so drunk that I blacked out. I’ve got a lot of stress going on and just got out of hand at bars downtown near my apartment. Anyways, I live in a 300 something square foot apartment and me or someone smoked a few cigarettes in it. My A/C was out at the time. Now if I smoked a cigarette or two, my reaction would be to that and h...
  24. Lol thanks. I was by myself at home and the sneeze came out of nowhere. I think we swallow our own mucuous all the time anyways?
  25. Probably a very dumb question. But if I sneezed in my food and continued to eat it, is there anyway I could get glutened from my own snot?
