  1. Hi there. I am a fellow N Irish poster and had a Coeliac test sent last May - it took 2-3 weeks to come back (negative). I also had biopsies taken (negative) and they took 6 weeks. Hope this helps with your expectations of when results may come back. wishing your daughter health and happiness.
  2. Hello all. has anyone ever had a positive calprotectin or lactoferrin test and subsequently been diagnosed with celiac?
  3. Hi Scott Thanks for your reply. I don’t have any results - was just told that it was negative for celiac… I assumed the actual values didn’t mean anything in that case but it would be good to know if any values were slightly raised - am I right? My gp now thinks this is gluttate psoriasis. It’s not itchy (well, mildly itchy at time...
  4. Hello Yes I have been tested but serology came back negative. I am going for an endoscopy and MRI of small bowel in the coming weeks. My doctor thinks this could be pityriasis rosea, which looking at photos is entirely likely, but I just want to explore other options too given my stomach issues and malabsoprtion. Thanks...
  5. I have a widespread rash all over my torso and neck - pics below. It is itchy but not bothering me. Been like this since Wednesday. I also have quite a few celiac symptoms - any thoughts?
  6. Thanks - this is really interesting. I am so convinced I have celiac disease but not getting too far with a diagnosis.
  7. You are a star. Honestly, thank-you so much for taking the time to reply.
  8. That’s a really helpful article. Thank-you. Can I bother you once more to ask if you know if the paragraph below applies to me? I am without the DQ2.5 and DQ8 gene but have half the DQ2.2 molecule?
  9. That is a wonderful explanation. Thank-you. Would I have to have more than one risk allele to develop celiac disease? Sorry… I should say, more than one Marker with a risk allele
  10. Hi all I received the results above - it was a genetic test for celiac. The result 'risk allele' - does anyone know what that means? Thanks Catherine
  11. Thank-you both. That is super helpful.
  12. Hello I have a question about antibody levels... do they remain constant from day to day? If blood was taken on one day and the result was, for example (made up figure) 10, if another blood sample was taken 2 days later (again made up figure) would the result still be 10 or does it vary from day to day? Thanks :)
  13. Thanks both. I am not gluten free at present as still in the process of a diagnosis. I am low on iron folate and copper. I have bought a home test for coeliac (the top test in the photo) and I’ll post the results here... can you see a VERY faint positive? To the left of the T.
  14. Hello everyone I’ve posted here recently - thanks for all your replies at that time. I’m just out of hospital after my 5th admission in 9 months (4 of these admissions in last two months) with severe acute abdominal pain. It’s epigastic in nature and slightly to the right hand side. It’s not gallstones and liver / pancreas are fine (so say...
