  2. I think opinions are starting to change Scott.https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/322557#the-acid-ash-hypothesis
  3. As these low histamine/lower acid/Alkaline diets are beginning to help a lot of people and it’s becoming very popular maybe its too early to be proven by scientists yet, but it is proving to help a lot of peoples symptoms now and that’s what counts. Maybe scientist are starting to look into this now as we are the proof that what foods/ drinks/ additives/ by...
  4. I think it’s not just Gluten alone that brings on Celiac Disease, My opinion.
  5. I am certainly not in denial about Celiac Disease, i don’t where that came from ?? I believe the amount of certain types of bad bacteria in our bodies and what we feed it can bring on symptoms that can cause Celiac Disease and many, many other Diseases, and certain Proteins seem to be a trigger in some of us, so by me cutting out Dairy, byproducts, starter c...
  6. I am wondering if the low histamine diet helps control H.Pylori because you are not feeding this bacteria with too many proteins and sugars and maybe that’s why people are improving with their healths, or it could be that the low histamine diet doesn’t include Gluten and Dairy/red meat proteins, sugars, hence less acids. So maybe by keeping these things to ...
  7. I don’t eat all Alkaline foods i would say about 80% neutral and Alkaline and 20% acidic which would include meat and grains which is I believe is a good balance, we are what we eat and drink and having too many acidic foods and drinks in our diet can set off inflammation so when you have this underlying inflammation going on setting off different symptoms i...
  8. Scott, I believe the acids from some peoples diet and the amount of certain bacteria in their gut go on to cause a Leaky gut which then causes lower acid in some depending on the extent of the Leaky gut, leaking Acids, Toxins, Bacteria into the body and blood stream, making the body become more acidic, so what starts out as a high acidic environment can...
  9. You may test positive for it but because your not having symptoms and your gut has hopefully healed now and if Gluten or Dairy or higher acidic things was it’s food source and your not having that now, maybe it’s kept at bay, this is just questioning things, not Science backed.
  10. Yes Scott and an acidic environment which it seems to tolerate, maybe it doesn’t do so well when it’s not feeding off of acidic things ??? Maybe that’s why a lot of people are doing so well on a lower histamine diet, avoiding Gluten and Dairy, not such an acidic environment to thrive in and a lot of their symptoms are vanishing, Less histamine in the body,...
  11. Hi Kari Does your mum drink a lot of Tea, a lady I knew had a terrible cough for years no Dr. found the answer, I knew that Tea could affect me, not by coughing but in other ways, anyway I said to this lady try stopping the Tea, I saw her a month later and she said that it had worked, now, I believe I know why it worked because of what happened to me...
  12. Thank you Wheatwacked for your reply, I hope you are well, Vitamin D deficiency seems to crop up a lot, I have never been tested for Celiac Disease as I never have had a problem as far as I’m aware with Gluten etc, I never suspected milk until I increased it and my symptoms increased, I would like to be tested for Celiac to see what shows up, I feel fine b...
  13. I don’t know if it is routine when checking for Celiac or NCGS if a stool sample is taken to check for H.Pylori bacteria, can anyone tell me please if this is tested as well at the same time ?
  14. Hello Harry Your in the right place here with lots of good advice from people, when I discovered what was affecting me it was truly life changing and a huge relief, in my case it was Dairy and things that had Starter Cultures in, fermented things, I couldn’t tolerate acidic things so many of our drinks are acidic, I drink mainly water and herbal teas, ...
  15. If Gluten and Dairy Proteins are feeding H.Pylori and Celiacs and NCGS are avoiding these things after Diagnosis their readings would be lower for this bacteria because they are not feeding the bacteria with these proteins. Here is an article that I found interesting. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5578575/
  16. But like you mentioned earlier Scott that many Celiacs are diagnosed with H. Pylori around time of their diagnosis there must be something in that. I personally wonder about too much Streptococcus bacteria in our bodies and what the affects that has on us, that’s the one that I think can cause a lot of issues with our healths. I read that scientists are t...
  17. Or is H. Pylori not a problem in the gut if it’s not being fed certain things, are these things we are ingesting causing the issue with increasing h. Pylori ??
  18. That’s interesting Scott that you say many Celiacs are diagnosed with Helicobactor Pylori, maybe that WAS the possible cause, rather than that being an after affect of the disease ?? Does the Protein from Gluten and Dairy feed this bacteria and the acid it excretes possibly be the cause of some of our intolerances and health problems, just a thought, I a...
  19. I am wondering how many Celiacs and NCGS have had stool samples taken, they probably have had a lot of blood tests, but what about a stool test to see what their gut bacteria is up to. I thought this was an interesting read: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4227722/
  20. Well Wheatwacked if we find the underlying cause, we may not get deficient in these Vitamins.
  21. Maybe the DAO is insufficient because of Protein overload ???
  22. I thought this was quite interesting. The Discussion is on page 18 if you dont want to read it all. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3625874/
  23. Thankyou Knitty Kitty, a very interesting read. Preservatives are a thing that really needs looking into as well, adding to our levels, hidden under different names.
  24. Thank you Wheatwacked, Choline is something not talked about enough, I only heard of it on this site for the first time from you. My theory is once the body is reacting from histamine overload from these proteins, we can get all sorts of symptoms and inflammation is a major one, which i believe that’s when the gut environment starts to change by becoming m...
  25. I have taken Anti histamine in the past when my Hayfever was really bad, they made me feel incredibly drowsy even the non drowsy one had this affect on me too, maybe it was the possible lactose in them, I never knew back then about my milk intolerance, I have a lot of side effects with medications so I try and avoid them if I can, I also think that if the...
