  1. I still have to disagree with the caption about I quoted about, I know that in lactose intolerant it can be very acidifying to the body, leading to metabolic acidosis in some cases. Animal proteins make us more acidic. Maybe tests ought to be carried out on Lactose intolerant people or people with milk allergies.
  2. "Milk and dairy products neither produce acid upon metabolism nor cause metabolic acidosis, and systemic pH is not influenced by diet." Knitty kitty I absolutely 100% disagree with the above statement, I know this was the cause of my body becoming acidic and all my health problems, much more research needs to be done on this. Could the histamine...
  3. Thank you both for the information, really we shouldn’t be consuming things in our bodies that contain man made Citric acid, Lactic acid, Lactose the bacteria I believe that is causing so many, many issues with our healths, we are having a Histamine from an animal that is intended for a calf !! Hence causing our own body to have a larger amount of Histamine t...
  4. Hello Knitty kitty I know by consuming Milk/Dairy caused my body to become acidic, (the reaction)I think more research needs to be done on this. You are consuming Lactic acid/Lactose, I don’t always believe everything I read, I know what happened to me and by removing the acids/ I got well. Just because something is written it doesn’t mean it is ...
  5. Hi Hector Thank you for the update, have you ever had a test to check your acid levels an (anion gap blood test) also you say that cheese isn’t causing you a problem in your previous post, well, I didn’t connect Dairy to my symptoms it was only when I removed it from my diet that I got well, so maybe try this, there are other ways of adding calcium in ...
  6. Hello Ucat I have had many symptoms like you, I see you still drink alcohol, that is a big trigger in me, have you tried taking that out of your diet ?
  7. Your welcome Fran, I had a lot of inflammation in my body and every time I had Dairy the pain was excruciating so I removed it and the pain subsided as the days went on, and so did all my other lifelong symptoms so I believe it was the acids building up in my body, I call it Histamine pain. Recovery time from symptoms I would say can vary from person...
  8. I will add, Lactose is in a lot of Meds/Supplements not all, but if you are to avoid Lactose check first that’s it’s not in the ingredients.
  9. Hello Fran I know what it feels like to suffer from Hives and all the other symptoms you are experiencing, I found the cure myself it’s what worked for me it may work for you, this is what I have done to get myself well, I removed all Dairy/Lactose which contains histamine from my diet, to reduce the levels in my body, also things which contain m...
  10. Hi knitty kitty I believe that when our bodies have become acidic through our diet from acid forming foods/drinks and Dairy, it reduces or stops a lot of Vitamin and mineral absorbtion in our bodies, so if Hector starts taking his Thiamine, and any other vitamin he is low in and I think if he is acidic then follow a low acid diet which is basically a...
  11. Also I was reacting to many, many things and when I cut out the Dairy I could eat some of the other foods again that were causing me issues and my range of foods increased again.
  12. Maybe if you had a Anion Gap blood test that would give you an idea of your acid levels in your body and go from there’s, just to rule things out.
  13. There is a test called an Anion Gap blood test. I had a normal blood test.
  14. Maybe the normal readings should be reset lower to pick up problems with acidosis because I know that was my problem and sorted it out myself, and become well, so maybe they are not picking up on it, like they didn’t with me,you have to try for your self, if you are eating Cheese every day you are adding to your levels of acid and your pain will continue, ...
  15. Thank you for the info Wheatwacked. Something needs to be done to sort out the Commercial milk then, why do you think it is high in Omega 6 ?
  16. Hector Have you become Lactose intolerant ? It happens to so many people especially as they get older, if I have Dairy I get hot and sweat more, sticky skin just like you described and many other symptoms and I believe the Lactose/Histamine in Dairy can make our bodies produce more Lactic acid hence joint pain/inflammation and other symptoms, now...
  17. Hello HectorC Maybe look into (Exercise and Lactic acidosis)which can cause a lot of pain and inflammation in the body, I wonder if this could be causing your symptoms ???
  18. Hello Scott I think one of the main reasons acids can become a problem in the body is overindulging in the wrong foods/drinks regularly, eating a lot of foods with preservatives in can also add to levels, drinking acidic drinks, being overweight can be the first sign. Maybe the person is not overweight but is on Medication that is making them...
  19. Ps. I never had to take any alkalising supplements I got well by avoiding food/ drinks with high acids in or things that made me acidic when ingested, which then increased my histamine levels. In many, many cases of some illnesses the right dietry advice is all that is needed to get our bodies back to good health, not medication which can add in some cases...
  20. Hi Trents By the cells attacking foreign invaders they are trying to keep the blood clean, it’s how you look at it really. I absolutely can relate to this article with what happened to me and I believe too much acid in our bodies through diet has become/is becoming a MAJOR problem with many of our health issues today. Less acids more Alkaline = healthier b...
  21. Hello Mboehme You may find this interesting, too much acid from things we are ingesting can cause a number of illnesses. If you read on down the page it explains a lot. 22. Hi LiJ With how things are going with more and more of us getting intolerances I think a gluten/Dairy free bakery is a fantastic idea, as I can’t have anything at my local bakery at the moment that doesn’t contain milk !!!! I wish you well, take care Jackie
  23. Hello Mboehme With me, I really react to medication/supplements anything with Lactose used as a filler in to make up the tablets, I got very brain foggy, I couldn’t concentrate, had a constant hunger and gained weight quickly and brought on other symptoms it really affected me and at that time I hadn’t connected Lactose to my symptoms, I came off the...
  24. Hello Mboehme I was wondering are you having Dairy in your diet still and that includes things that can have starter cultures from Dairy, I can not have Dairy or things with Lactic acid/citric acid in and a lot of people as they get older can not tolerate things with milk or milk cultures in they can feel sick or begin to have some health issues, with...
