  1. Sorry Scott, I didn’t finish answering your question yes if that’s what the science says, I am going against it, have they looked into the effects of a foreign histamine from an animal going into our body and what implications that has on our immune system. (That makes me sound like a Vegan and I am not, I eat meat) it is a different species though, so hen...
  2. If your still getting problems, watch out for Lactic acid it’s used in so much and if only a minimal amount is used they don’t have to write on the ingredients, it’s used as a preservative very often, if I have it it makes me have symptoms. I want to see it written on everything, better still don’t use it at all, find another option. I hope you get well Ka...
  3. I wonder if there is less Histamine in that milk ? With me i react not just to milk but Lactic acid that’s used in preservatives in food/ drinks and medication, it’s in so much no wonder the body is reacting to it, and on some of the labelling it can be written as natural flavouring, and it’s not natural, if it was human milk it would be natural. Maybe that’...
  4. Because I was tolerating milk I didn’t know that it was causing my problems it was only when I came off of it I started to feel well, I didn’t know it was a problem until I came off it, and that’s when I realised it was, my body started to heal, so there be a may be a connection with some Celiacs.
  5. No, thankfully I don’t. Well I’m hoping one day I can return to eating Dairy again, at the moment I feel well and I don’t want to jeopardise that, I’m hoping that my Dao enzyme will fire up again, and when it does I will be mindful of how much histamine from food/ drinks I ingest, as it seems I think that is becoming clearer, with today’s health problems....
  6. Maybe they are and don’t realise, like me, I just didn’t suspect milk and carried on for years, I just thought I was unlucky to have all these symptoms I never once put it down to milk that’s why I mentioned is it the underlying cause that is not getting picked up on, will people be able to tolerate Gluten and other foods again when Dairy is avoided. It i...
  7. I was tolerating it, but it was only when I came off of it that my health improved, I had so many symptoms I just didn’t connect it to milk, it was the last thing I thought could be causing all my health issues.
  8. Chris there is a Hydrogen breath test available to test if people may be Lactose intolerant, that could be worth doing.
  9. Hello Chris I don’t believe there is, I think it’s just a case of seeing how you react to food/drinks with higher histamine in.
  10. One day we will have the answers, it’s down to us with allergies and other symptoms avoiding different things in our diet and how we heal from avoiding these things, will hopefully lead to the Scientists looking into what we are consuming and how safe it really is, but Lactose is in a lot of medication/ food preservatives/ alcohol and that is worth a l...
  11. I’m not sure, i believe it could be, one of my sons is sensitive to milk too, and I didn’t pick up on that for years as who questions milk it is meant to be good for us, is it the Histamine/ Lactose/Casein in the milk causing the problems? it needs to be Scientifically looked at. All I know is how I got well when I came off the milk and realised the milk tha...
  12. No, I don’t have a problem with Gluten but I believe Dairy intolerance brings on many different conditions not just allergies and if someone who has Gluten intolerance may find they improve their condition by avoiding Dairy, who knows they maybe able to tolerate Gluten again, you have to look at all angles, in some cases it may be the case and some not. ...
  13. Does milk intolerance bring on Celiac Disease ???? many people do not know that milk is causing a lot of their symptoms as in my case i just didn’t connect that it could be the milk, it was only when I stopped consuming Dairy that my health has improved. Lactose is in a lot of Medication which is why when I was on it became worse. Milk has high amounts o...
  14. I didn’t realise after all these years of putting up with so many different symptoms and I never made the connection with Milk until this last year, I am now well as long as I stay off of all Dairy (I will say though, it’s likes saying goodbye to an old friend) but it’s how I improved my health, is there a connection with Celiac Disease and milk intolerance ?? b...
  15. If you have milk in tea try swapping for for an alternative milk, I drink Peppermint or Camomile it has no Caffeine in, You don’t need milk with those, if you dip your tea bag qiuck and have it black that’s quite nice actually, but the longer it’s in the more histamine is released, as for Coffee if you can’t do without try cutting back and replace it with...
  16. Also your problem with your tongue and breath will go in time too as you change things in your diet, I’m a big believer in you are what you eat/ drink because how I have healed myself through diet and determination. Take care Jackie
  17. Chris it will take a time, it’s best to prepare our food ourselves so we know what we are eating and not all the rubbish that’s added, I eat plenty of veg too, just be as healthy as you can and if it is Dairy/ Gluten you can live without it but it might just be one of them you have to try one at a time and see, maybe buy a book on Low Histamine recipes and...
  18. Hello Chris Yes if it is Dairy, then definitely yes, try alternatives milks until you find the one you like, also there are Dairy free yogurts available and see how you get on, Dairy is high in Histamine so that could be making you react, eggs are fine with me, I am not a Vegan but I do buy vegan ice cream occasionally for a treat as there is definitely...
  19. Hello Chris Yes, my advice is when you get problems, is think back, always think back, have you had any food and drink that contains high histamine ie, Dairy, Alcohol preservatives fast food, these all add to our levels, bring your levels down in your body and be well, that would be my advice, there are other milks you can try and when your levels are...
  20. Hello Jenny I will tell you what happened to me. When I was 6 months old I had Gastroenteritis, then when I was 8 I developed Hives a raised rash it would appear all over my body when I got cold or when the temperature dropped this went on for years my mum took me to the Dr. and they were not really sure what brought it on possible the Penicillin I...
  21. Thank you Chris, I will say I did at first think oh what am I going to eat/drink as you just don’t know what to do, but if your getting on alright being Gluten Free and symptom free that good, if you are still having a few symptoms look at maybe trying avoiding Dairy and if that works all well and good, well it’s not good really as Dairy is really nice, th...
  22. Chris it’s whatever works for you, I hope you get well whatever you try, I just share what’s worked for me hoping that it may work for some one else, maybe Drs. In time will offer these other options, maybe they don’t know yet, but I know and really do know what has worked for me. Good luck Chris I hope you sort everything.
  23. Hello Chris Milk can cause bad breath, so avoid Dairy for a while and see if it goes, milk contains Histamine and when our bodies have become overloaded with histamine our DAO enzyme can not cope, so it doesn’t break things down like it should, hence I believe that’s when all our Allergies start from Dairy, Gluten etc, I believe too much histamine in ...
  24. Hello Trents i did think it could be Casein with me, but it’s the Lactose, I was bad on my meds and that had Lactose filler in and I hear they are going to put it in nearly all medication, we are doomed if they do this. I stay safe and leave out milk completely to stay well, sometimes I have something that they have sneaked it in and I get tingly fingers a...
  25. Hello Maybe you’ve become Dairy/Lactose intolerant, it’s happening to so many of us, I didn’t realise this was my case until of recently after all these years of many symptoms, I avoid Dairy, I am now well. Jackie
