  1. Thank you all for your suggestions. I forgot to mention I’ve been taking vitamin D3 for a couple years. It was down to 25 (30-100 normal range). I was taking 2000 u but was increased to 5000 and it’s now up to 36. I’m wondering as well if my vitamin B12 is low since it’s never been checked. Unfortunately my GI doctor doesn’t believe in doing tes...
  2. That’s what I was wondering. My folate is fine. 4 months ago my ferritin was 5 and I started on a slow release iron and it is up to 30, but I’m wondering if it’s still too low and causing symptoms. I read it can impact RLS. Other than those two levels no other ones have been tested.
  3. No, I have never taken a statin, but will keep that in mind if it’s ever recommended. I’m glad you finally figured out what was making yours worse.
  4. Is there a link between Celiac and worsening of restless legs? I’ve had RLS for years, but was just diagnosed with Celiac 6 months ago. I’ve cut gluten from my diet (or am still attempting but my last lab showed I’m still getting some from somewhere) but my RLS seems worse than ever. Anyone else notice a correlation?
  5. I’ve had restless legs for years but the last several months they have been a lot worse in the evening despite prescription medication. Is there a relationship between RLS and Celiac? Any suggestions would be appreciated before they drive me crazy. Lol
  6. I had a positive biopsy 6 months ago and I have been gluten free since then. My doctor just checked my deamidated Gliadin IGA and IGG for the first time to see how my body is responding to the diet (still having GI issues). My IGA was 1.0 (normal <15) but my IGG was 18.1 (normal <15). With one value on the low end and one elevated does this mean...
  7. Thanks for the suggestions. I’m in the US. I will definitely make sure there isn’t gluten in the iron. So much to learn, so I appreciate your reply!
  8. Thank you for the advice and tips. It’s frustrating when you get different advice from doctors and just want to get to feeling better!
  9. I was diagnosed with celiac 2 months ago, so this is all new to me. My GI doctor put me on a steroid (Budesonide) to help “jump start” the healing process. In the meantime my GYN drew lab and my ferritin level is 5! The GYN said to start an iron supplement, but when I told the GI doctor about my ferritin level he just dismissed it and said to just give the...
