  1. Thanks for the responses. It’s hard to describe to doctors and people sometimes. I just use brain fog cause that makes sense to me and most people who deal with these issues. This usually happens specifically when glutened. I guess you could use terms like decreased ability to focus and/or concentrate. It has always resembled flu like symptoms to me. Thanks
  2. Thank you for the links to the articles. You would think you wouldn't have to send articles to a GI doctor about these symptoms. I did mention that maybe there was some confusion as to when I have these symptoms. Normally, gluten free, I do not typically have these issues. However, when I get glutened I get the whole array of symptoms that most people get...
  3. Good Morning, Looking for some advice on how to deal with a doctor. I've been going to a doctor that has been overall fairly nice and understanding. I'm dealing with a situation where a need a statement from the gastroenterologist stating that when I have a Celiac/gluten attack or issue there is associated brain fog as one of the symptoms (among other...
  4. Cool. Thanks for the replies.
  5. From what I was told about Gilbert’s syndrome is that there really isn’t anything to worry about or anything they can do. I did have a follow up and my numbers were good, along with healing of the gut.
  6. I had symptoms for years and was diagnosed with Celiac approximately 2 years ago. Also, lactose intolerant, fatty liver, GERD, and gilberts syndrome. As far as getting glutened, I feel I stay pretty consistent with my diet. It seems like getting glutened for me is random. I will go for a while I do fine for a month or so and then have a bad week or two. I...
  7. Good morning, I have been dealing with Celiac for around 2 years now. Still dealing with various symptoms, especially after CC or eating something containing gluten unknowingly. Symptoms include fatigue and the typical brain fog issues. I do feel like since having Celiac there have been neurological issues such as memory lapse and recall that haven't...
  8. Yeah, I get confused by the reference ranges and units sometimes. I would assume when they see that number, they probably won't question the diagnosis from the first Dr. Thanks
  9. This is my original bloodwork with of course the hard to read note from the doctor. I just go this from my original Dr. Ill make sure I show this to my new Gastro Dr.
  10. On a side note, does anyone have issues with knee pain. Specifically joint pain, and stiffness. When I get up to walk, I look like a 90-year-old man, hobbling. It could be just getting older and lack of exercise. However, I figured there could be some kind of connection. My bloodwork hasn't shown any correlation to bone density issues or anything like that...
  11. I stay away from everything dairy/cheese. Yeah. I believe they were concerned about the ulcer when the last Dr diagnosed celiac.
  12. My job requires a physical and updates on symptoms. As I’ve learned recently, the mental side of dealing with this can be a bigger hurdle than dealing with the physical issues.
  13. I have all the information. I will avoid the whopper. If it turns out that they do want me to introduce gluten, and I do react quickly, I’ll just make it a point to document all symptoms and report promptly. I’m not going on gluten food for weeks just to take another blood test to appease someone.
  14. I made an appointment with another doctor or for the endoscopy so I can get this over quicker. I agree with what you said it seems weird to kind of work backwards. I guess they wanna be sure that this is the issue. Made the appointment for Friday, so I will know soon. So what, then I go and get a whopper from Burger King or something and see what the hell...
  15. I just spoke with the office. They want to do another endoscopy to confirm celiac and make sure there is nothing else wrong or more ulcers. I guess why this doctor is hesitant is because there was an ulcer with my first endoscopy. She said ulcers can cause inflammation and cause the blood markers for celiac to increase. I mentioned what would happen if everything...
  16. I was diagnosed with Celiac nearly 2 years ago. I had a confirmed blood test, which wasn't terrible high, I have the genetic predisposition, and had an endoscopy that showed duodenitis with mild villous flattening, lymphoid hyperplasia, features suggestive of celiac sprue. There was also an ulcer: 5 mm duodenal ulcer: bulb, nl 2nd portion of duodenum I went...
  17. In addition to the celiac test, does anyone recommend any other tests to check nutrient or micronutrient levels? Have been pretty tired lately and having some eye twitching going on. Thanks
  18. Hello, I just moved recently and have had a few issues with being glutened. I do have biopsy and blood test confirmed celiac disease. Is there a test I can order from say LabCorp or whenever to check my levels to see if gluten is still in my diet that I am not aware of? I just moved recently and have set up an appointment with a PCP, but would like...
  19. Never thought to scan the pepto I always take. Kind of defeats the purpose if it may contain gluten. Anyone have any insight on Pepto?
  20. I've been having trouble or a setback the last few weeks. I can't figure out what the issue is. I was glutened a few days ago and have been having pains in the middle of my stomach. I've never had this before. Ulcers?... This morning I had canyonhouse Hawaiian bread, 2 eggs whites, and 2 pieced of gluten free sausage. Stomach is feeling a little off...
  21. I almost bought some of this. Thanks. Have you tried any other brands? Looking for something lighter on the stomach.
  22. I just got my results back. They gave me a 37/100 rating/not optimal. They gave me a list of 19 pre/prebiotic supplements, along with other nutrients recommendations. Does anyone have any experience with viome? I'd assume it would be smart to order their prebiotic and give it a try. I attached what they recommend. Thanks
  23. Just started a food diary the other day. I've been okay the past few days. I think I've ruled out eggs or egg whites as I've had those the past few mornings with no issues. Just gotta realize there isn't a quick fix, as the food log is really going to be the best resource. I did get a viome gut test. Still waiting on the results from that. I've been...
  24. I've had some stomach pains and stomach issues today. Se if anyone can point anything out.. I had strip steak and eggs whites for breakfast. Some diet pepsi. Little more of the steak around lunch with some corn tortilla chips and pace salsa. Grabbed a arnold palmer half and half on my way home. Started having pains. Everything I believe was gluten free....
  25. Anyone have recommendations or good experiences with any of the pre made meal companies. Was thinking about trying out hellofresh. With a newborn and recently diagnosed its tough meal prepping. Thanks
