About Me

I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2015. I am vegan as well. Excited to help others on their celiac journey. I always used this forum and community for help but never realized I can join it too, grateful to have this resource and be a part of it.

  1. Thanks I appreciate it, yes I definitely can't tolerate oats unless FOR SURE certified gluten free. Thanks so much for your response Thank you for the response I appreciate it
  2. Hey Hollie, I was diagnosed when I was 22, I am 29 now. It was really hard for me at the time as well because I had zero clue what was safe and what wasn't, neither did my family. Not having my own dedicated gluten free kitchen was also a struggle, it wasn't until my sister decided to go gluten free for me and we got rid of all products and cooking utensils...
  3. Hi, yes I have celiac disease. I was diagnosed 7 years ago. I am highly sensitive celiac, I am not able to handle the whole less than 20ppm thing that the US allows. I also stopped eating processed foods with gluten free labels on it unless I was 100% positive the facility didn't process any gluten. So many products have gluten free labels but less than 20ppm of gluten which STILL get people sick who have celiac especially if you have a highly...
  5. Hi Barb, are you eating processed foods often that have a gluten free label on them? Many processed products still have 20ppm of gluten and you may be a highly sensitive celiac. I started juicing celery every morning on an empty stomach, drinking 8-16oz, then following with warm water with lemon. This has been a game changer for me. I also avoid all glutened...
  6. I have been swollen for about two months now, literally continuously glutened by something. I am usually super healthy and great, not having issues. I've been eating Cedars hummus in the last two months and Made Good granola bars. Has anyone ever had issues/reactions to these brands?
