A New Neurosis: Gluten-phobia

I deliver gluten food every single day... meaning I touch bags that contain nothing but gluten in them constantly.. and i'm pretty sure the bags I'm touching must have at times gluten on them from the hands of the people that prepared the food.. During the one year since I was diagnosed I was delivering these foods every single day.. during that ...- 10 comments

if you did actually have celiac from birth and continued eating gluten daily to 60 years old then that can be dangerous and lead to developing refractory celiac from so many decades of untreated celiac... You should get a 100% diagnosis soon.. then stay away from gluten. Just get the blood test... its should be pretty conclusive. But you...

Son is Suffering

He needs an endoscopy done... and a CT scan with oral and IV contrast.. Unless the blood work comes back and is 100% Celiac.. losing 50 pounds in 2 months is definitely something Celiac would do... unless he just isn't eating anything -

"IN Fact an old study shows that NO stomach acid in Celiac's occurs at 90+ percent" its impossible to have NO stomach acid if you had no stomach acid then food would not be digested at all -
Diagnosed only 3 days ago with coeliac disease :-( Gliodan antibodies high and duodenal biopsies showed ‘subtotal villous atrophy’. Have done abrupt withdrawal from gluten and I honestly feel worse now off gluten than I did on it :-(

DiGiorno tested positive for gluten... plus its dairy... do most celiacs still eat dairy? ========= Can you explain??? I have celiac disease and was looking forward to something different from your company, to find out that it still has Wheat in it. The product wouldn't be gluten free if it had Wheat. Can you explain... -

I wouldn't be surprised if celiac is the cause... I had palpitation like feelings in my chest for many years... felt like a muscle spasm or beating sensation that would last for a second or two.... it was getting worse leading up to and after my celiac diagnoses... then a few months after gluten free they stopped.. -

I eat a huge tablespoon of almond butter every single morning for breakfast along with some 2 large bananas .... and drink Silk almond milk during the day... I might just not be healed yet enough to be gaining... my celiac was still technically on at my last blood test even at only 10 antibody level... My doctor said he has patents coming... -

not sure why people say this.. immune system is not compromised because of celiac.. its working normally beyond the malfunction when gluten is eaten. it isn't weaker because of celiac... I had tests on my immune system function and its operating normally... I had Covid 19 and had nothing but minor symptoms while other younger perfectly healthy... -

How long to heal?
fllstuart77 replied to Makky's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
As soon as you eat gluten then you have damage again... and there's no way to go through your entre life gluten free.. so how can you actually ever heal or stay healed? Its just a cycle of healing and damage and healing forever -

celiacs never truly heal -
most normal people don't take it seriously... its just a food allergy to them... probably much easier if you're a female though... then you can go on gluten free picnics and all that
