  1. Oh and I have MS also and a glutening seems to trigger that too. Numbness in legs. Pins and needles. Struggle to walk etc.Great joy again 😊
  2. Hi. Nearly three weeks ago I was glutened. I haven’t done this in a while now. And the symptoms have been pretty awful as you’re all probably aware of. Migraine, pain in neck and shoulders, flu like symptoms, tinnitus, loss of feeling in legs and hands, fatigue, tummy troubles, rashes, brain fog, muscle twitches and lots more. I was expecting to feel a b...
  3. Hi! I have tried many different brands of paracetamol and ibuprofen and reacted to them all. This is what I have read on Coeliac UK ‘Sometimes medications can cause side effects that are similar to symptoms that occur after eating gluten. Speak to your GP if you have any unexpected side effects’ I do react to corn and all the derivatives tho...
  4. Hi! thanks for your reply and all the information. I will try anything to get some sort of pain relief! 😊
  5. Hi! It’s funny because I have just spoken to my son in the US and he suggested exactly the same thing to me. He said the edibles work great for pain relief. I am off to research what is available in this country. We are a lot stricter here but they have started to prescribe cbd for certain illnesses and acknowledge the medicinal qualities of it. ...
  6. Thank you for answering me. I am exactly the same with reacting to any starch in medication. Which doesn’t leave me anything to take safely. I do use iboprofen gel on my shoulder which helps. I feel like layering it all over my body and head sometimes 😂 My next option is going to be a compounding pharmacist and I am waiting to hear back from them. ...
  7. Hello all. I am in the UK. I am posting here to ask what everyone takes for pain relief please? I have yet to find a pain killer that does not give me a reaction. I recently had a shoulder injury which was painful itself but also caused migraines. And I had Covid 2 weeks ago. I was unable to take any pain relief for anything. I asked my doctor...
  8. Hi. I took medication 2 weeks ago containing corn and it caused a big delayed reaction in me. I seem to be as bad withh he corn as I am with gluten. I am still having symptoms after 2 weeks. Does anyone else have this long a reaction to corn? Symptoms are gut related and also dizziness, fatigue, pins and needles all over, muscle weakness, brain...
  9. Thanks for your help. It’s appreciated. I guess it’s just another week or two of the symptoms and then on the recovery road again 😊 Another question I wanted to ask while here…. When you’ve had an accident like this or been ‘glutened’ somehow (which for me can be just a crumb) is it normal to have them in one area and. Then they move to another, th...
  10. Many thanks for the welcome. I am in the UK. Diagnosed and been gluten free since February 21. So, early days for me. It has been hard with the early days being unable to function at all. Overwhelming fatigue, aches all over, neuro symptoms, tinnitus, brain fog, stomach problems, etc etc. I have researched and researched and been on this site which...
  11. Hi! I am relatively new to all this. Celiac for just over a year but suffered many years before that. It’s been a struggle and I have now eliminated gluten, dairy, soy, corn (the devil), oats and rice and now lectins. Starting to eventually feel better. In fact I’m mostly eating meat and vegetables. However, I have had ‘gluten’ symptoms for past few day...
