  1. Yeah, maybe I’ve finally tipped my immune system over for good or severely damaged myself like never before. Unless I’m still getting gluten somehow and don’t realize it. This is the longest I can recall it taking to really see significant improvements. My stomach is just not happy regardless of what I eat. It hasn’t been this unhappy for a while. And th...
  2. Yeah I haven’t been officially diagnosed but have positive antibodies and definitely improve when I am on a strict gluten free diet. I messed up bad for a longer period time recently and it seems like this time around the healing process is going much much slower. I’m still having all kinds of issues. Maybe I’m getting it somewhere else too that I’m not ...
  3. Thank you. So how long have you been gluten free and how long did it take the accidents to sort of resolve? It is awful. I was taking Imodium all the time but I’m not sure if I should be doing that. I never thought about jars of things being an issue. We do eat out quite a bit but I do get gluten free but maybe it doesn’t really matter …
  4. I have really been trying to watch the gluten and I don’t know if it’s just still intestinal damage causing my issues or I’ve messed up or what is going on, but my stomach hates me. I have had a lot of stomach pain and bloating lately and lots of diarrhea and urgency that has caused accidents, so embarassing. I don’t want to get in to much detail bc I do...
  5. Your story sounds like mine. I had poop issues for years, had my gallbladder out and everything. I never thought it was normal but just learned to kind of live with it I guess. I later started having abdominal pain, nausea, reflux… all kinds of stuff. I was tested for celiac and had positive antibodies but was told I didn’t have celiac. It’s been a confu...
  6. I have been really trying to be careful watching my diet since finding out that something I was consuming contained gluten. As far as I know I’m about 3 weeks out from That consumption of gluten. My stomach issues had gotten a little better but have come back with a vengeance to the point I have had accidents … so embarrassing 😳 I read someth...
  7. No, I’m not familiar with the journal thing. I do eat out but I try to be careful and read. I do eat carbs and dairy. Not familiar with the autoimmune diet
  8. Thanks. Yeah I wish it had been something small too, but that’s not the case. This diet is so hard. There are things that I guess I just don’t think about sometimes or foods that I just don’t think would have gluten. Condiments drinks coffee just lots of stuff. And I’m still paying for it all mentally and physically
  9. That’s interesting, I’m not sure they have any of those doctors where I live but it would be nice
  10. Very hard Thanks for this information, I sure hope you get to feeling better! This journey is tough!!
  11. Scott- I read this article and inserted the part that confused me... so it says if it’s a weak positive TTG-IGA they recommend 2 more tests.. so if those tests are then done and results are negative does that mean the person is NOT celiac even with a positive weak Ttg-IgA?
  12. Thanks for replying and for the information. It was a month, at least maybe 2, of consumption. I am not sure what is considered a large amount of gluten. Can you give an example? I have been taking vitamin d, zinc, vitamin b1 and a super b complex. I have a centrum womens multi vitamin but I have not been taking it. I did try a digestive enzyme but it...
  13. Will do, thanks! I’ll google when I have some free time to read as well
  14. Thank you. I have not googled it, and I tried to search on this forum but was unsuccessful finding any posts.
  15. Can gluten consumption in celiac disease or NCGS cause menstrual issues? My hormones have been a mess recently. I take birth control pills daily and have for years. I was consuming something with gluten daily for a month or so without realizing it. I was also taking digestive enzymes after I realized my mistakE thinking it would help. I am about 2.5 weeks...
  16. I just found out recently something I was consuming was not gluten free. This was something that was basically a daily part of my life. It has been around 2 weeks since I stopped that and have been as far as I know gluten free. this current reaction has made me extremely ill from head to toe, including lots of fluid retention, swelling, pain and gastrointestinal...
  17. Thanks for the info! I didn’t realize it could negatively impact things for me. Thanks for the good info!
  18. I have not been formally diagnosed with celiac through an endoscopy. I had positive TTG IGA antibodies twice and symptoms majorly improved going gluten free. My question is should I list celiac disease as part of my medical history? Is it an important factor? I live in the US and based on experiences I could see docs asking who diagnosed me and who is my...
  19. I have a lot of numbness and tingling-didnt realize celiac could cause all this Mine is definitely untreated at the moment.and prior to this bad flare up I had been bad 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
  20. It’s painful and makes it hard to eat, can I ask what you do to treat the issue?
  21. Anyone ever have mouth sores/ulcers and oral irritation? what causes this?? I’m having a terrible time with these issues right now. I’m not sure what I can do to help and it’s really starting to worry me
  22. Does consuming gluten with celiac disease or NCGS cause insatiable hunger issues? I swear I could eat 24 hours a day right now and eat the legs off a chair. It’s frustrating. I’m overweight as it is. I made a big boo boo recently and had gluten (didn’t check all my labels / ingredients 🤦🏼‍♀️) so I’m just wondering if this is triggering this insane hunger ...
  23. Wow..that’s a lot of associated conditions, kind of scary
  24. Wow, I guess I don’t truly understand enough about all this. So what exactly happens when gluten is consumed? The immune system sees a foreign invader and I’m assuming starts attacking or something? And that causes various symptoms throughout the body? Do the digestive pills that are supposed to help digest gluten help with gluten consumption/autoimmune rea...
  25. I am assuming untreated means not adhering strictly to the gluten free diet?
