Ohhh, I honestly don't know about *that* Jessica!! My kids won't eat meat on their pizza, so I never even considered to think about it.
I hope you didn't feel "icky" for too long.
My older child just had positive blood tests and is really frustrated. I was thinking of taking him to Waldo, as a special treat, just to remind him that his life is NOT over. The pizza is so good, he would not even notice that he's missing something. He's a "cheese only" kind of guy.
Well shucks!! I was hoping you would know
It is hard feeling "normal" with this diet. I can't imagine being a kiddo and trying. Pizza is one thing that I terribly miss. I make it at home, but it just isn't like picking up the phone and ordering
Hopefully someone will know if the topings have been checked for gluten free status
Thanks for the quick reply

Ohhh, that's not good!!!! The person who owns the bakery that supplies the gluten-free crusts personally trained the staff on how to deal with CC issues. Oh, that's very upsetting to read. She will want to know that!!!
I'm so sorry!!!
Do you know if they have checked the status on all of their toppings? Of course the fresh veggies would be fine, but what about the peperoni, sausage (in tiny balls with spices), canadian bacon, spices etc?
I just got to thinking that it could have been something like that also that they haven't checked into yet?!?!
If anybody knows or can find out please let me know

BA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well the results are in...sorry I'm so late in posting but there was a celebratory lunch at Legal Sea Foods including a celebratory Pomer-ita (con tequila!) followed by a LONG celebratory nap
So, the good news is no tumor, no cyst but one sore and slightly swollen lymph node! Good for "the girls" and the tassel twirling may resume (but still don't know what's causing the pain in armpit and arm). But at least it's not BC (and I DON"T mean Boston College ).
Thank you all sooooo much
Happy Dancin for ya!! That is very scarey to go through. Glad it turned out well.

Sending positive vibes to you and "the girls"

OMG OMG!!! I FINALLY got to have Waldo's Pizza.........it was too good to be true! It tastes alot like Pizza Hut Pan pizza without the thick crust.
I was/am in heaven. Thanks for letting me in on the secret. I am so glad I finally got to go.
I was sitting in the booth waiting for my pie, and I had to make phone calls telling folks where I was and what I was about to eat! ha

I think that they may need to work a bit harder on their CC. My tummy feels not so great today I'm also wheezy and dark circles under my eyes ........ darn it!!

hello everybody this is some interesting stuff you all get the message out there some of you sound like you should be doctors. You all have really taught me a lot I had never heard of this disease untill I was told I had it in 2004 . Hey may be the rice companys could promote awareness My daughter work for American rice internationall I will ask her about it since we all eat a lot of rice . Also my nephew is going to be on American Idol on Tuesday night Sundance Head From Porter Texas maybe he will become famous and he can help us out watch for him . I will reading and learning thanks ever body Betty
I thought he was a hottie...........or at least adorable. Then I heard his voice and was like HOLY COW this boy can sing.........wow!! How cute was it that he said he had a good year, got married, and now expecting?!?! Awwwww
You have a good nephew. Does he have celiac too?

I've been talking to my brother about Celiac/Gluten Intolerance for a few weeks now. At first he was quite skeptical. He does admit that the symptom list describes him perfectly, but he's sold on the depression diagnosis. I'm telling him....go without gluten for a few days....then eat some.....
He's asking the right questions....what's got gluten in it...what should I eat...etc...
I finally got him to go a day or two without eating gluten...
This morning he's bragging he ate a sub sandwhich last night...feels fine.....
A little while later he e-mails me back...."Hmmm, I don't feel as good as yesterday.
I'm more tired, achey...I have a headache. Yesterday was a 7, today is a 4."
What do you think of that?...Identical twins...identical tooth enamel defects...identical symptoms
after eating gluten...
Oh, just a comment, I am the good looking one.
If you are identical twins, you have identical genes. Therefore, he has the celiac gene (not sure how you were diagnosed, but if you have the gene so does he).
The only difference would be the "trigger". Or what flips the switch to turn your symptoms on. However, sounds to me like his switch has been flipped and he has it also. Just my 2 cents

Gorton's has some yummy looking shrimp scampi that I have been wanting to try. I wrote the company to find out their status and the following is the e-mail I got back. I LOVE companies that just label things plain and clear like this. YEAH Gortons!!

Hi Jessica,Thank you for writing!
As you may know, Gluten is found in wheat, oats, rye, and barley. These ingredients would always be listed separately on our labels.
Because our products are formulated for use by the majority of our consumers (and not specifically for those on restricted diets) it is possible our product formulations may change at any time. As a result, we cannot provide a list due to several factors:
- Lists of this type reflect products as formulated at a specific time
- Possible that more products/varieties may have been added
- More important, changes in existing products may have occurred
Therefore, we suggest reading all ingredient labels carefully.
We hope this information is helpful!
Your friends at Gorton's.

Chelsea (Penguin) who belongs to this board used to (not sure if she still does) help out with girlscouts. I think she was a troop leader and of course Celiac to boot. I'm sure she would be able to help you. You might try PMing her for more info.

So do you just put the little smokies in the sauce and warm them that way?
Has anyone ever soaked their meatballs in chili sauce & grape jelly mixture? A friend of mine gave me that recipe many years ago - it's really good. I'd love to make them, but I can't seem to find a chili sauce that would be safe...or is the Heinz one okay? ( they mailed me a list, and it wasn't on it, so I'm assuming it is NOT safe). They are sooooooo goood.....
Yep dump the smokies (drain the liquid off, sometimes there is some in the package) and the bbq sauce into the crock pot and warm. Sooo yummy!
I can't give you an answer for a gluten-free chili sauce. However, I can say that if it isn't on heinz gluten-free list then it isn't gluten-free. They are great about putting their list together.

Go to their website. They have undergarments for sale that use the same filtration technology! He he he...
I also like how the site says that the filter lasts 6 months for women and 3 months for men! ha Means men stink more eh

After reading so many topics on gas today, I thought we should all run out and purchase these cushions!! They are called GasBeGone. Their tag line is

Malt is definately out. Most of the common brands found in stores contain malt flavoring. Kellogs and such are not safe.
I buy Nature's Path. They clearly list any gluten containing ingredients. They are the makers of the envirokidz cereals also that are very yummy.
Also rice in meatballs is good.
