Itchy rash worse since being off gluten! Anyone else?

I double checked and the nurse said they were taking a biopsy of the rash itself and beside the rash for the DH testing. I am going to another dermatologist for a second opinion. My rash is very itchy, symmetrical and pretty much effects my entire body (with again the exception of my face, palms and bottom of feet). It just seems so obvious that it would... -

Thanks everyone! I got my skin biopsy result back. It was negative for DH. I am back on gluten and the rash is still the same, itchy, red bumps everywhere m (except face, palms and soles). I am back to the drawer board what it could be. Next step allergist. -
Hi all- I have suspected DH for a number of reasons for awhile now (VERY itchy symmetrical rash and a family history of others being diagnosed with celiac disease). Thanks for your response! Basically, the dermatologist told me if there were still lesions, he could perform the DH biopsy. I just wanted to see if anyone had heard anything to the contrary if one had stopped gluten before the skin biopsy! Thanks again for your reply

Thank you so much for your reply. I had thought maybe it was PUPPs. I was itchy before getting pregnant but since being pregnant these rashes have broken out all over my body. Thanks! I think I have been fairly careful with cross contamination. I use a toaster that is totally gluten free and only use clean cooking utensils. I am not eating out at this time. Still itchy and still new rashes are breaking out. Just waiting on skin biopsy result now!

Yes, I have tried antihistamines and it didn’t help at all. Also was prescribed hydrocortisone cream and likewise it didn’t make a difference. Still very itchy and getting more rashes today (even though I have been gluten free for over a week). Rash today showed up on both sides of hips. Small red bumps, itchy. I am not sure. My blood work shows that I am healthy. I am finally seeing a dermatologist on Friday. I have tried changing all my soaps and lotions to fragrance free and it didn’t make a difference. Thanks! It was the ttG test. I realize that might make it harder for diagnosis but in Canada there are long waits to see specialists and I was so desperate to stop itching. I had the ttg test before stopping gluten
