  1. I realize that being diagnosed with Celiac Disease at 52 meant an entire lifestyle change was necessary, but I feel better now than I have in 20 years by being gluten-free, so it has been worth it. I am curious though about whether anyone else has experienced weird changes in their digestive system? Specifically, foods that I couldn't eat before (milk/dairy...
  2. Trents, you are absolutely right! Tiwa, just because you aren't experiencing some of the stomach and bowel pains typically associated with Celiac disease, the inflammatory response from the antibodies will cause massive damage to all your internal systems. Neurological damage to your peripheral nervous system, brain damage, kidney damage, liver damage,...
  3. Hey, thanks a lot!! It's cool that you brought up pasture fed milk. I was just watching a youtube video on how to cure brain fog and the speaker mentioned that regular dairy products are a huge cause of brain fog, but pasture fed milk doesn't affect memory or cognition. Will do!! Thanks for the tip!
  4. Wow, thanks!! Now, if I can get rid of this feeling of having a vise around my head every time I get cross-contamination and 3-4 days of brain fog I'll be okay!! Haha.
  5. Thanks Jennik!!! I appreciate the good advice.
  6. Yeah....... I found that out the hard way. I thought I had gotten rid of all gluten in my diet but my symptoms were still there. My wife read that some vitamins are packaged in gluten capsules so I was contaminating myself with my Vitamins D and K every morning!!!!
  7. I'm newly diagnosed with Celiac disease, so I'm just beginning to learn what to avoid, but do you mean to tell me that my head and neck rash could be caused by shampoos and other cosmetics!!!!! Good grief, I thought all I had to do was go on a gluten-free diet and I would be fine! HAHA! It's a wonderful world!
  8. Absolutely!! I only mentioned the slow addition because since I was so recently diagnosed, I am just being extremely cautious, haha. I've discovered that I can digest dairy again after going gluten-free, as long as I do it in moderation. This whole thing is almost more than I can handle, even though I have a supportive wife who is doing her level best...
  9. JenniK, I can't speak in regards to perimenopausal hormone changes, but the VERY first thing I would do is have your thyroid output checked, as it can explain all of your symptoms as yuluyouyue stated early on in the conversation. The next thing I would do is (if your thoughts on diet are open), is up your intake of whole protein sources (red meat, chicken...
  10. Thanks Brother! I'll give that one a try. Also, you may be onto something about the serving size. I'll slowly work up from 1 scoop. I appreciate it.
  11. Hi, just diagnosed with Celiac disease last month at 52 years of age. Needless to say, the process of going gluten-free after half a century of stuffing my face with pasta, bread, and cookies is painful. I do love eating whole foods and discovering new protein, soluble fiber, and healthy fat sources, but I miss my go-to carbs. My question today is, as...
