  1. /There is no requirement in the regulations to mark food and drink with "traces of", which makes it a voluntary warning marking. There is also no upper limit for what a "track" is. Sometimes the marking is misused to have "the back free", and not because there is a real danger of contamination. This can place an unnecessary restriction on those who have...
  2. Yes, some very sensitive celiacs do react, but most can tolerate it. But I think I'll avoid everything in the beginning just to be sure.
  3. Yes, I agree. In my country, everything that has more than 20 ppm must be labeled with gluten. So “may contain” should have less than 20 ppm. I'm not sure if It's worth avoiding it the first months? Or if I'm safe enough anyways.
  4. But even gluten-free foods say “may contain” on it?
  5. But when starting on a gluten-free diet is it okay to eat “may contain traces of gluten”
  6. Yes I talked to my doctor yesterday and she said that both the fact that I struggle to focus on schoolwork and my stool problems are signs of celiac disease. And since my blood test are nearly 5 times upper normal she said there was no point in hoping I don't have it. I just found out 😫
  7. When going gluten-free after getting a celiac diagnosis should you avoid food labeled “may contain traces of gluten”?
  8. Another strange nasty thing. (Warning disgusting) This week I’ve tried to eat more gluten just to see if it triggers any symptoms. And I’ve experienced some changes, but I don’t know if gluten is to blame or if it anything else but anyway. If you have experience this please tell me. In the mornings I usually have had diarrhea (not floating) (Still blood...
  9. I will soon, when I get the diagnosis (in february hopefully).
  10. aha, I live in Sweden 🙂
  11. Well, if I don't do it I won't get economic support or a diagnosis. You have to have above marsh 2b to get diagnosed she told me. Just the rules of my country. Mum thinks it's stupid but they really can't do anything. That's the way it works.
  12. Well I'm going to do a blood test in January and endoscopy in February so I think I'll have to eat gluten until then anyways. But I'm not going to torture myself to hard I think , Iast time I did endoscopy was in August 2020. So over a year ago. Do you think it will be higher on the scale now even if I cut most gluten from my diet? I was told to eat at least...
  13. I think I got it. It’s just a bit frustrating to think about. I eat a lot of fiber and drink a lot of milk however my D-vitamin level is low, so I think that's the reason for those knuckle and bone sounds things. I have been taking supplements but they don't work. I've understood that this also may be due to gluten though. My doctor now said I had t...
