  2. I’ve run into this scenario with vitamins on Amazon that were labeled gluten free but listed malt syrup in the ingredients list. FDA guidelines say you aren’t allowed to have an ingredient called malt syrup (likely barley) and still label your product gluten free.   3. I have the same result and HLA-DQ2.5 appears to be right around the risk of the HLA-DQ2 line in the chart (about 3%). It is noteworthy that 3% still isn’y a super high rate *but* almost 95% of people with celiac disease will have an HLA-DQ2.5 (90%) or HLA-DQ8 (5%) variant so it’s almost a prerequisite.
  4. Would they consider setting you up with a dietitian to go over your diet? It can be overwhelming at first to understand where all the hidden gluten can be.
