I have not seen a bouillon that doesn't contain some form of MSG (yeast extract). I would think the Kosher and Middle Eastern versions would be your best bet.

Lisa, are they frozen and you cook at home? I'm open to that too. Just couldn't quite tell if that's what you mean or if your store uses Perdue brand. I was hoping someone had information on Safeway. Safeway and Costco are really the only two chains we have in our area. I think there is a Lucky but it's not really in the way of any place I am coming...

I see a lot of topics about gluten-free rotisserie chicken (the kind that is cooked in the deli and sold in paper bags) but I can't find a list anywhere. I know Costco is gluten-free and that Whole Foods does not contain gluten ingredients but carries a warning. Anyone know about Safeway and other store brands? It would be nice to have options.

I tend to agree. Haven't they always been a little 'reserved' when it comes to saying something is gluten-free or not?

I'm not sure about the UK but gluten in toothpaste is not an issue in the US. This thread is 6 years old and I think there was a lot of discussion about Sensodyne toothpaste back when this thread originated - I'm not sure if it was every concretely proven to contain gluten. Celiacs have loads of dental problems so it could just be your mouth adjusting...

I am pretty sure the spices are McCormick. I use the garlic powder and ground pepper without issue. Not sure about the minced onions. -

I don't think Costco keeps a gluten-free list. Most Kirkland products are just rebranded mainstream products so you'd have to know if the name brand is gluten-free. For example, Kirkland bacon is Hormel and gluten-free. If you have questions about specific products let us know and we can likely help you out. -
Check into Citracal Kosher. Per their website it's lactose free. http://www.citracal.com/Calcium/Special-Diets.aspx

Jenny, I think Wellshire Farms gave you bad information. The USDA currently has no policy defining gluten-free in the US. The FDA is recommending the definition be set at 20ppm but that isn't official yet. Either way Wellshire Farms fare exceeds anything acceptable for us and it's quite frustrating!

I believe the standand in the EU was just set this week to 20ppm to be 'gluten-free' and 100ppm for 'very low gluten'. The compliance date is 2012 for manufacturing and labeling changes. I believe wheat starch is still allowed. Here is a link. If you Google it you can find a few more on the subject.
