  1. So I just received my blood results, low B 12. Does anyone else have or had this problem and are there any stomach issues after taking B 12?
  2. Thanks, I am keeping a food diary, corn seems good, eggs too, it could be some other ingredient. It seems I can keep the grains down when they are cooked separate, like quinoa, buckwheat groats but when combined in bread it does not work, could be yeast.
  3. So last time I got sick was om May 1st after making my own buckwheat bread. Today I bought gluten free bread and got sick! I can't eat any bread, I have been gluten free since the beginning of April. I buy gluten-free products, I am careful and I still get sick> What am I missing here? Is it possible that I am sensitive to some other ingredient in...
  4. Thanks for the feedback, amazing how it can make us sick!
  5. Thanks for this info, very interesting; I believe the smell can make one sick, once you go gluten free you notice how bad gluten really smells, this is not just in the imagination. I am yet to find out if baking with it will make me sick. I will keep you posted on that, right now I am too sick to try it!
  6. This is the second time the smell of regular pasta makes me feel sick! I made lasagna for my husband and was getting ready to wash the dish and the smell made my head spin and I felt like I was going to be sick. Can I actually get sick from the smell after going gluten free? And what about all purpose flour, if I make something like pizza dough, will that...
  7. Thanks for that helpful information, I do appreciate it.
  8. Thanks Scott, still having a lot of food reaction. I am seeing a nutritionist next week and we will go over my food diary and reactions. I am gluten free (or at least trying) and yesterday another huge reaction after eating tacos topped with a very small amount of brie and salsa. Two days ago a handful of corn chips made my urge to the bathroom. Yesterday...
  9. I am getting sick from everything lately. I ate a few corn chips (been doing gluten-free for a while) but is there really such thing as not only being intolerant to wheat or gluten but also corn, millet, rice etc..? My symptoms, headache, vomiting and stomach issues which I already had with some redness on the chest, congestion during vomiting and gas,...
  10. That is strange that you mention that; I spoke to the Doctor last week about that and she said no test will be done for SIFO or SIBO because of the district I live in which is unlikely for bacteria. And I also asked to get wheat allergy test done, can't do that either. I am frustrated with the health system here! It took me two minutes to have someone...
  11. It's been like this for the last year or more. The lower back pain is almost constant, I have not been diagnosed for diverticulitis but IBS and it does seem worst when I get food reactions and vomit. Thanks for the kind advice.
  12. I am curious to know how many suffer with lower left intestinal and lower left back pain or have suffered with it before diagnosis. Did the pain go away once on a gluten free diet?
  13. Thanks for that. There is a history of diabetes in my family, my father and mother both. I was tested some time back. I don't think I have but would be a good idea to get checked again. Yesterday I made organic millet for dinner with veggies but I got so sick afterwards, then notice the packaged said, "may contain wheat", not a good choice for me, still...
  14. I was prescribed steroid cream for my GA but to be used only in the beginning when the lesions were raised, once they flatten I was told to stop use and let it heal on its own. I am anxious to see if they will totally disappear with the gluten-free diet. I still have big scars from last years outbreaks.
  15. No, not yet but that is a good idea, I won't tell him just to see if he notices the difference, he might.
  16. I want to know if the rice cakes at the dollar store are gluten free. Lestello brown rice cakes made in Poland are organic but on the packaging it says "may contain gluten", yet when I researched on the internet it said gluten free, so I am confused --does anyone have intake on this? Thanks, Beverley
  17. Maybe this explains why I get so sick eating ice cream and last night yogurt!
  18. Thanks for those links. I just had another huge flare, I am on the low fodmap, so had gluten free pasta with tomatoes for dinner and lactose free yogurt with a few blue berries. I cooked regulate pasta for my husband and the smell almost made me sick (someone else mentioned that too in another comment) so strange as this is the first time it has happened...
  19. I was diagnosed with granuloma annulare and the Dr said my rash was not gluten related but I do believe so. Every time I eat something with wheat I get sick, vomit, headache, muscle pain, mostly vomiting 5 minutes after consumption and then later the itch and granuloma! I think gluten is the source of many skin outbreaks, our immune system is telling us...
  20. I have the same problem. I did the celiac blood test last year and it came back negative, they are not always accurate. I suffer from constant bouts of nausea, skin rash, stomach and intestinal problems, bloating, and gas after eating. I am currently on gluten free fodmap diet. There is not much you can do when you get a bad reaction to gluten, I vomit...
