  1. I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.
  2. Mine is definitely triggered by inflammation and stress! I do also have arthritis in my spine, but the pain is more in my pelvic area. Im sure i have other food intolerances or other autoimmune isues but the more I focus on it and see doctor after doctor, it just gets worse. Best thing is get of Gluten! (I also avoid lactose). Try to limit stress and...
  3. Thats exactly why I joined this forum! I thought I was going crazy.... I think inflammation is alot to do with our issues. Autoimmune diseases cause inflammation. I just wish I knew how to fix it!
  4. My pain is lower back, pelvic and thigh. I have had literally ever test. Ultrasound, colonoscopy, endoscopy, swabs, blood tests....you name it. Sometimes its so bad i have to take pain relief, other times its bearly there....
  5. Hi EmilyKate Its like a never ending story.....I do wonder how many of my symptoms are Coeliac and how many may be another autoimmune disease as my coeliac bloods are in normal range. Im waiting on results from a CT as my pain has once again returned. I had a couple of abnormal liver tests too, but it turned out it was a supplement i was...
  6. Just an update! 4 week off of dairy and noticing some improvements. Had an endoscopy and colonoscopy today! Endoscopy showed healing but will have to wait for biopsies. Colonoscopy showed moderate diverticulitis, which may be what caused my pain. Next step is to have an ultrasound and see a dietitian... Fingers crossed...
  7. Thanks for that info. Just wondering in your thoughts on my original blood results? Do you think it definitely would indicate celiac disease?
  8. Thank you so much! I really appreciate your support and info!
  9. Thanks for your reply! I think I do have the gene, but I dont have a copy of that test. My husband has it too It would be odd for all 4 tests to be positive if it wasnt celiac wouldnt it?
  10. Does anyone else have a informative comment on my original bloods? Im interested to know people opinions
  11. Thank you for that info! I hadnt really thought about the fact casein might be the issue. I definitely have inflammation but I wasnt sure what might be causing it 🙂
  12. I do include dairy, but only lactose free. I might need to try a few weeks with out any dairy and see if I get better.... Is there a test to see if I do have an intolerance to casein?
  13. Constant lower abdo pain, pelvic pain, full bowel feeling, fatigue.....
  14. I had everything checked. I had a iron infusion, now my ferritin is slightly high. Everythung else was within range
  15. Nothing changed that I can think of. Plus I had my levels rechecked and they are zero. Its not all my original symptoms, but some of them. Its been about 7 weeks and its not getting better. Ive had multiple blood tests, and been to the doctor and hospital.
  16. Hi All I was diagnosed in Feb 22 via bloods. After months of being unwell, I was in the hospital when I was told I had Coeliacs Disease. I asked if I should have a endoscopy to confirm, but the doctor, as well as my GP, suggested to go immediately gluten free due to how unwell I was and the fact I had 4 x positive blood results. Did I do the right thing...
  17. Ive just started takimg my vit D again and am thinking about getting Omega 3....
  18. I did wonder if my back played a part in the pain. I do have slight disc degeneration and a bit of arthritis in my lower spine, this was found years before my coeliac diagnosis. My GI issues seem to be acting up too so it must all be related. Im just not sure why it would flare up now. My antibodies are at zero, so its not gluten causing the issue....
  19. Just wondering while this is being discussed, if the blood work was positive and the antibodies reduced on a gluten-free diet, could it still be a false positive? So would one of the reasons for a false positive still respond to a gluten free diet? Therefore the antibodies would reduce to zero?
  20. I eat dairy but not with lactose. I dont eat spinach or peanuts, some soy though This pain is the same pain that lead to my diagnoses feb 22. After 6 months gluten free, it eased and eventually went away. Now its back. Ive been to the doctor and the hospital. They said all seems fine, except my crp levels are slightly high (which has always been...
  21. Constant lower abdo pain....full bowel feeling, pelvic pain. Plus headaches etc. Im strict with my diet. Take vit D, B1, B12
  22. Thanks for your replies. Im a year in and was feeling better but all of a sudden my symptoms are back..... Its been 4 weeks so decided to get my antibodies checked. They are normal. So not sure if its a gluten thing or not
  23. Hi all Random question, how long would celiac antibodies take to return to normal after a glutening incident? After going gluten-free orginally it took me about 6 months for my antibodies to be zero. Would the same thing happen with a accidental gluten consumption? Or would it be faster as it was a one off? Thanks 😊
  24. Thanks again for your reply. I do wonder if you are on to something. I have had a difficult childbirth, although it was 18 years ago. Interesting that it maybe related. I think i will definitely go with the u/s, just to rule out other issues. Its just so frustrating. Would be lovely to wake up and feel "normal" one day.....
