Maddie6332 replied to Lz-erk's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
How is going to the dentist scary? I mean, I am terrified of the dentist, but not.. in the way your experiencing it. Have you ever gotten paralyzed at the dentist, if so, could you speak and what did they do to help? -
Wondering if there’s anyone else like me
Maddie6332 replied to Jamie678's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
This is a HUGE problem. There are people who are dealing with the same thing, but doing this to your body has an endless list of negative things it can do to it. Such as, the body overreacts to the protein and damages the villi, small finger-like projections found along the wall of the small intestine. When the villi is injured, the small intestine can't... -
For me, to gain 20 pounds, I would say it took a little while. Right now 8/27/22 I weigh 67 pounds. When I got to wights like 15-45 it was amazing. I still get so excited about how much I weigh, every day. So it does take a while, it took me maybe a year to get to 20 pounds, but it will be better and easier to gain weight (in my opinion) soon.

I honestly don't know you may have to ask your doctor!

Also, don't the dogs already come trained to detect gluten or no?

It could be Celiac. Celiac can gss weight gain and weight loss, so it makes sense.

So, why do some Celiacs have Gluten Free dogs and others do not, not including the cost. Do some Celiacs not need the Gluten Free dogs or is it something else? We are NOT talking about the cost.

Okay! What level are you? And how would I be able to figure out my level in my medical chart, because I am an 11 year old.

When I ordered, they put normal pasta in my food. Cross-contamination doesn't affect meas much as it used to because my gluten has gotten better, but when I do eat gluten, it gets worse when I do get sick.

Can you figure out your Marsh level from looking at your symptoms or no? And, I got a biopsy when I was little, would that figure out my Marsh level or no?

UK Gluten-free Bread Dustup: Forty Bucks a Loaf?
Maddie6332 commented on Jefferson Adams's article in Additional Concerns
I would say $40 for a loaf of bread is not a good deal at all. When I et Gluten Free Bread it costs $10-$15 I think. I don't buy it, my parents do.This is the bread I absolutely love. It is normally at Walmart, and I do not know if it is at Target.I also think it is at Aldi's -
I read the article, it was incredible. As I said I am 11, and I am 63-65 pounds and 4 foot 6. And I am going into 6th grade this year.

If a Celiac or someone gluten free looks at a label, and says it contains wheat, couldn't they just put it back, and why would they need a service dog for that? I mean, I'm okay with cross contamination, and if it says may contain wheat, it depends on what it is. Sometimes, I do not think. One time I was at my friends sleepover, and I was being dumb and put...

How to Travel in Group with Celiac Disease?
Maddie6332 replied to HMB11's topic in Traveling with Celiac Disease
This has happened to me many times.I would recommend going for the things you know that are safe. For example, fruit, eggs, meat with no breading or anything, just plain like sausage or bacon. I hope this helps you! -
I was starting to be tested because I wasn't gaining weight at all.It took me a little while to get to 20 pounds, honestley.

Hi! My name is Maddie and I am 11 years old! I was born with Celiac Disease, but it wasn't noticed until I was about 3 years old. When I was born, I was born very early. I was supposed to be born at the end of April, but I was born in the beginning of January. I had transparent skin, hair everywhere, and I was so tiny, they thought I would die. I started having...
