  1. Thank you for the clarity. Vaccine and virus both man-made imo. If the virus lowered the bacteria level instead of the vaccine it would still account for a bump. I’ve attempted to see if ICD10 celiac or DH jumped post outbreak but have not seen any high level metrics.
  2. Locally, since Covid it seems to me a larger portion of the population has celiac. Getting a loaf of Schar bread at Publix is like winning the lotto. Yesterday, I read the article below and it seemed to connect the dots. Prior to my two shots, I had zero gut issues and got along great with beer and pop-tarts. Maybe coincidence, maybe not but it might...
  3. I have not inquired on the D levels. My multi V has 25mcg which I'll certainly add a separate D supplement to give it a try as well as the fat friends. I saw my dermatologist yesterday on the DH followup and she took several blood samples after I told her about my joint pain. Thank you!
  4. I've been strict gluten-free since Sept 2022, with primarily beef, chicken, corn and potato products. I prepare 95% of my meals at home and take them to work. Almost no histamine foods. My blood panels look good as I take a mult-vitamin daily as well add'l B1. I know at some point I will start to feel better as I had so much more energy when I was a pizza...
  5. I ran across this lab (https://www.enterolab.com/StaticPages/TestInfo.aspx) from this site that helped me understand what foods were causing issues for me. Granted it was an extensive list but potato and eggs were on my list. My test result listed them in reactivity order so I at least know which one is less reactive compared to other grains or meats.
  6. Nothing like starting 2023 with some intrigue…after my post below in Nov stating that my gluten-free diet seemed to make matters worse. Well I was correct… my Enterolab lab results confirmed yesterday I have significant immunological reactivity to Corn, Egg, Chicken, Oat, Rice, Beef, Pork, Tuna, Cashew, Walnuts, Almond and White Potato. This is essentially eve...
  7. Maybe I'm just a slow healer. I have had labs checked and am good on all levels but did add a few supplements Scott has recommended on his forum. I live on a farm and always have many projects on the horizon so this fatigue element is certainly a challenge. I tell my sons...I became my grandfather in less than a month. I've always been a meat and potatoes...
  8. Elisec5678, I can certainly relate as I'm in waiting mode as well. I think Scott is spot on regarding other foods that are problematic during the 1st year healing phase that may be OK in the long term but wise to identify and avoid in short term. For those of us that don't experience some immediate relief from gluten-free it seems the 6mth-12mth might offer...
  9. From my perspective, it seems most recently diagnosed Celiacs follow a similar path that involves progressive recovery efforts. Mine seems like an inverse path so far. I was diagnosed 10 weeks ago and started strict gluten-free on same day. At that time my tTG IgA Ab was 30.2 and Gliadin Ab, IgA was 43.9. I feel worse today than any day prior to Celiac...
  10. I have tried the lidocaine and it helps for a limited time. I rooted all gluten from my diet on day 1 - 8 weeks ago but have no idea how long it takes to get the proteins out of my blood stream to stop the DH reaction. I believe I have a better understanding of why some cultures did "blood letting" to cure the aliments - they probably had DH!
  11. My DH diag and celiac diag were just a few weeks a part. I did not have any GI issues as well. I just didn't want to introduce a strong RX into my body while I was dealing with the detox and certainly was not anticipating the joint pain. Most of the stories report feeling better in a few days or weeks of gluten-free diet but don't go into detail on DH...
  12. I will certainly give this one a try. Certainly more War&Peace than standard recipe but if its remotely accurate...tasty! Thank you Scott!
  13. I had just mastered the art of sourdough bread before my official celiac award. So I recently ordered some gluten-free sourdough starter and have been feeding it for a few weeks now using rice and almond flour. My first loaf was really bad. Even the crows did want it. Some hungry squirrel finally hauled it away. My 2nd attempt was much better. Very...
  14. Thanks Trents. I saw the blood test requirements and leprosy usage on the oral Dapsone and thought the DH would go away on its own as I'm not big into RX's especially since I was having all the pains with the detox. However, I had no idea I'd be at week 8 and still feeling better when I was hooked on pop-tarts and pizza. I'll give it another month or so...
  15. I was diagnosed with DH and have been gluten-free for 8 weeks now and still itch like crazy on legs, arms, back and head. I got some dapsone gel 7.5% last week but it seems to just dry it out and not really help with the itch. Frankly I haven't found much that helps. I actually felt much better 8 weeks ago than I do now. I used to run a few miles now...
