About Me

Happily remarried to my Soul-Mate & Best Friend who loves & accepts all of me & my faulty body parts, he is Gluten Free while at home. ❤️

I cannot Grocery Shop or be in places where aromas will “gluten” me. So I stay home & cook everything from scratch. I grew up cooking, canning, growing all our food anyway. I’ve only had a dishwasher for 2 years! What a wonderful gift that is when I cook every meal, except about 4-5 meals a year we “eat out”. We started raising meat chickens last year, on very expensive “wheat free, soy free feed” because I indeed would be very ill around regular feed!

I am one of those “super sensitive, aroma” Celiacs. ☹️😱😭💔

I think I may have been a lifetime Celiac and only diagnosed about 4 years ago, in my mid 50’s! I mean who has Endometriosis at 14, and told at 19 to have a Hysterectomy?! I’ve been sickly my whole life, to the point I was told for decades I had “probable MS” but the lack of positive lumbar puncture meant I was never really fully  officially diagnosed despite every single other symptom. Decades! I since then & being diagnosed Celiac realized it was just the Celiac! 😲😲Osteopenia. Anemia post Hysterectomy. Multiple Deficiencies. No Gallbladder or Tonsils. Multiple Stomach/Esophageal issues, &  Digestive track issues my entire life. Started Colonoscopies around 40. 🙄

When you are a kid & all of you 🤢regurgitate, you dont Know that that is not normal! 🤷🏻‍♀️ We gave it a name! Lol!

Hindsight sure is good! I was always told everything was in my head. It all makes sense now! I still have many doctors who think I am nuts! They just do not understand Fibromyalgia either! 😡 At least everything is making sense to me now.

  1. I find this interesting. I had horrible monthly periods & anemia, then at age 19 was told my Endometriosis was so bad I should probably have a complete hysterectomy because I probably would not have children & yes my life was severely altered. Back then, 1982, there was no “autoimmune” connection. I never even heard of Celiac then, and yes eve...
  2. Yes I agree. ✅ We also need safe food in hospitals! I need surgery but I won’t have it, there is nothing except fruit cups that I can eat! 😡 I am extremely sensitive, airborne reactive, so cross contamination is a big deal to me! I found a pharmacy, Publix, that cares and gives me the “info cube” so I can call manufacturer. The other pharmacies are too ov...
  3. Thanks. I am taking 5,000 1 day then 10,000 next day (got a good deal on 5,000 iu pills & was afraid to take 10,000 every day). I’m in Sun more this time of year & live in SC. Your comments make me not so afraid now. Thanks. I lived up north when I was on the 50,000 a day script and getting checked every few weeks. Yes on the zinc lozenges! ...
  4. I raise my own meat chickens, in a chicken tractor on grass eating some bugs, using non gmo, soy free, wheat free feed (which is very expensive), but I do sometimes get glutened from the actual bags regardless. I explain how: the mill makes all kinds of wheat and other products so those paper bags are loaded on the outside with cross contamination. So my...
  5. Hi. I’m similar. Only 2 of us ‘empty nesters’ and we tried to just keep his food separate on weekends when he was home, separate towels in kitchen, I even got separate utensils/cutting board/some pans… eventually got an air fryer/oven combo to use just for my food. I was still sick for a few years. We moved to a remodeled house eventually (brand new app...
  6. Oh I understand better now that I read the complete Marsh classification! Thanks Scott Adams! My 2 GI doctors/reports read ‘complete villi atrophy’ or something similar, (& verbally said zero visual villi, totally blunted off ) like in the new version: “Grade B2/Type 3: complete villous atrophy. This level of damage is accompanied by ma...
  7. I always had diarrhea issues. Had endometriosis since I was 14, yes 14, had 2 “normal” periods my entire life, was like ‘giving birth’ every month & anemic and bedridden, was told at age 19 to have hysterectomy, had ovarian cysts/fibroids… had 1 miracle child, then hysterectomy. Stomach & GI issues always! Was told I had ‘Probable MS’ for decades...
  8. I understand. I am an Airborne Celiac and avoid handshakes/touching as well. So the aroma from food steaming gets me as well, actually figured this out from cooked food being brought into a meeting in styrofoam… and I touched no one! Do you wear a face mask? I do. I think it helps. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I make sure I wash my hands after touching things others...
  9. Hi, glad you are finally getting this taken care of & diagnosed! 👏🏼🙌🏼 Endoscopy & blood tests will be what you need. 👍🏼🙏🏼 I was off wheat, because it caused migraines, for several years before I got diagnosed… so my villi were still blunted visibly on the Endoscopic visual, but biopsy came back negative, but all blood tests were positive, alon...
  10. I had similar situation. I never knew the eye twitch was celiac related, mine twitched for decades & looks different now! I was told I had MS! It was Celiac. Anyway, yes get on a cancellation list or get blood test (I also was not aware of that), or find another doctor. Do not wait. My understanding is if you stop eating gluten the numbers go down...
  11. What “injection”? I get steroid epidurals, they cause me to bruise. For months! Or oral steroids. Is that what you had? Bruising from this is excessive & takes a long time to go away and appear all over body, places you normally do not have bruises. My body looks beat-up. Steroids thin blood vessels walks.
  12. Thanks, I’ve been taking sublingual D3 & need to order, so I will try piping rock! I live in Southeast now & get a good amount of Sun, but yes, Goiter belt. 👍🏼 Started some iodine liquid, not much because I have not tested and don’t know much about it. I’m more concerned with living in my house & car and never anywhere else because of the air ...
  13. Sorry for the confusion on that. Thanks for the articles. Years ago I took prescription Vit D, I think 50,000 IU a day for awhile, I lived in the Midwest at the time & low D is common there, and I stayed on it & was tested frequently until it was in ‘normal range’. Since then (maybe 15 years) it has remained just under or at bottom of “norma...
  14. Yes, my D is chronically on low end of “normal” even as I take around 5-6,000 IU’s daily plus whatever is in my calcium & diet. Yes, twice I had symptoms of Rickets shortly after diagnosis and was still pretty sick with diarrhea! 🫣 That’s when I increased my C, D, K, and started sublingual, encapsulated and more natural supplements… and decided to f...
  15. Me too. It is no quality of life. It has happened to me multiple times in grocery store (first few times I remembered I did smell the Bakery even through my mask), at restaurants, and even at a meeting where people carried food in at lunch and aroma was strong (I thought nothing of it but got sick afterwards). Most of the grocery trips I thought it...
