  1. One of my kids had issues for years. He was also losing weight eventhough he ate a ton of food. Once I was diagnosed and put him on the gluten free diet and he I'd now thriving. All issues resolved. He is even getting better marks at school. His celiac test came back negative. So you never know. The pediatrician run a ton of tests all negative.
  2. Exactly. I think even today celiac disease is poorly understood and we have yet to learn a lot. Thank you. I am close to the 3 year mark and don't eat any dairy, soy or eggs as I react to all of those.
  3. Thanks. I guess it never ends for celiacs. Wow
  4. Thanks for your reply. I have been gluten free since December 2020 and dairy free since September 2022 due to being diagnosed with Hashimotos as well and having some neurological symptoms. I found going dairy free helped but did not notice a huge difference. I also react to soy and eggs so I am very limited in what I can eat. I struggle to keep my weight...
  5. For those if you who are experts in this whole celiac disease journey. If you are celiac antibodies are within normal range, does that mean you are in remission? Just asking because mine have become normal now but I am still experiencing pain almost 3 years after going gluten free. Thanks.
  6. I was diagnosed in December 2020. I was around 150 lbs maybe a bit more then I lost about 10 lb 12 lbs then gain 4 lbs 1 year after and now I have lost another 5 lbs and eat a lot and do not wish to lose weight. I am also dairy free since I have Hashimotos and was trying to control that as well.
  7. Thanks for your reply. You are always so helpful.
  8. Hi there I dont have an answer for the ezcema question but share your frustration with not being able to put weight on eventhough I eat enough. Before diagnosis I was 154 pounds today I am 136 pounds. The same weight I was in my twenties but being in my forties I don't want to be that skinny. I am about 5.5 feet.
  9. Thanks. My Dr is not very helpful. She doesn't even think celiac disease is that bad. She said just go gluten free you will be fine.
  10. I have not been able to raise my ferritin from 7 eventhough I am gluten free and eat a lot of iron rich foods plus take a supplement. I have the opposite problem Cannot raise my iron.
  11. Hi everyone, Has anyone tried EasyIron? I am looking for a new iron supplements that works for celiacs. The one I was talking was changed and it was making sick so I couldn't use it anymore. I went to a Health store and someone told me this was a great iron supplement. Thank you
  12. Ask your doctor for a Thyroid panel. A lot of the celiacs have also issues with Thyroid. That would make you gain a lot of weight or lose a lot of weight depending on how the Thyroid is functioning.
  13. Thanks Scott. I am still learning here.
  14. I have been gluten free for almost 3 years and have the same problem with not being able to put weight on. My antibodies are now normal so it is not the celiac issue for me I think.
  15. Do you also have Hashimotos? Thanks
  16. Hello, I have only bought products that are certified gluten free so far but wanted to add more products to what I can eat. Have anyone had experience eating dry yellow split peas? Package says ingredients: organic split yellow peas. But it does says is gluten free. Please let me know. Still learning here. Thanks
  17. Which yogurt brands work for you if you are gluten free and dairy free? I have tried so many nothing works. Thank you
  18. Do you buy products that do not list any gluten ingredients but are not label gluten free? Please see sample of a yogurt below. I am tired of this restricted diet. I usually only buy products that have the gluten free label. I have tried contacting companies before but most of the time they are clueless. I just trust what others celiacs say. Would you buy...
  19. Thank you. I will take the time to read it
