  1. Hello everyone!, I am fighting off a cold and picked up some cough drops labeled gluten free. It is the brand Honees, the honey, menthol and eucalyptus specifically. The bag says they are gluten-free but contain wheat. Which I know some celiac can still eat gluten free wheat and some can not. But besides that at the bottom of the label it says...
  2. I was taking a vitamin b complex vitamin for a few weeks. I didn’t notice any difference. But my doctor did labs to check all my levels. My b was over x2 what it was supposed to be. So she had me stop taking it. I have had the issue before and after taking it. Is the thiamine the same as the b vitamin?
  3. Yes, I was actually diagnosed with hypothyroidism right before my celiac. But I’m on medication and my blood test show it’s regulated. But could it be a symptom of that?
  4. I have been diagnosed with Celiac for 6 months now. Almost all my symptoms are gone and I finally feel back to normal. But one random issue I have is heat. Being outside in direct sunlight makes me feel so sick. I will be super nauseous and my stomach will churn for about an hour or longer afterward. It makes me really tired and just a general malaise. It...
  5. Growing up my best friend had celiac and she's had it since she was 3. So I knew a little bit about it. I now know I knew hardly anything. About a year ago I started having insomnia. I would wake up In the night with my heart racing. I was also very stressed out at the time so I figured it was that. But it was when I had started working at a bakery! Looking...
  6. I am doing better! I am not completely back to normal yet. But I do have a thyroid problem that needed to be regulated as well. My symptoms have improved on a day to day basis. But if I do get glutened they are more severe than before. I also have started noticing as it heats up I'm having some heat intolerance. Not sure if that is from the celiac and will...
  7. I've been on a gluten-free diet for over a month now. And I've noticed a big difference in how I've been feeling. I've been eating all the same foods since I've been dealing with some other food intolerances. But the past few days I've been feeling very bad, no matter how careful I am. I'm not sure what the difference is. I'm eating the same foods as before...
  8. Chocolate Quinoa Crispies: Makes 7 cookies 1/2 cup uncooked quinoa 1 cup water 3/4 cup chocolate (dark, milk, or dairy free) pinch of salt Preheat oven to 350. Bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Add in quinoa and reduce to low. Let simmer for around 15 minutes. Placed cooked quinoa onto baking sheet and...
  9. If you don’t mind me asking which food groups did you cut out to help heal. I’ve been eating gluten for 20 years so I feel as though there is plenty of damage.
  10. Were the panic attacks because of the undiagnosed celiac or were they a separate issue? When I would go to the ER they would tell me it was a panic attack and sometimes I think my episodes can trigger panic attacks.
  11. I did stop working at the bakery. It wasn't because of the celiac I was just so sick I was unable to work. But, I'm glad I did quit because there is no telling what working their would have done.
  12. I am 20 years old and was just diagnosed with Celiac a week ago. For backstory, I hadn't had any issues until 3 months ago while driving home I had an "episode". My heart was racing, chest was so tight I couldn't breathe, nausea, blurred vision, and loss of feeling in my hands. I worked at a bakery at the time, so I was exposed to gluten and consumed it regularly...
